November Suprise (Bizzare Weather, Global Warming NOT
Granite

Posted on 11/21/2004 8:29:07 AM PST by granite

I live twenty miles west of Palm Springs, 100 miles North of the Mexican Border. We have eight inches of snow on the ground, no power, no broadband, no satellite. I am on the battery laptop and dialup. The 10 freeway is shut down in the desert due to snow. I am the emergency communications director for this area and we never had anything like this in November. Last year at this time we were on fire.

I can't believe those pictures!

There was a frost advisory earlier this evening for Fresno. It is cold and clear. Is there still snow on the ground?

Thanks for the ping.

While I remain highly skeptical about the "global warming hysteria," there is no doubt in my mind that the weather is changing.

Here in the deep South, I am sitting in shirtsleeves at a time I would normally have the heat on. Yesterday, we had to run the A/C at home and in the cars to stay comfortable.

The last 5 years here have displayed milder summers and winters overall. It's been wonderful for the utility bills, but does make you stop and ponder what is going on behind it.

Amazing.
I'm suspicious about the timing of this display, however. I mean, it's, what? ... only 20 days past the election and now this?
I think it is very con veeeeen yent that Bush is in Chile while California is chilly. See the connection? Chile/chilly.
I'm going to call someone, Charlie Rangel or something, and get a Congressional inquiry going on this. This is freepin' hugh.

Stay safe granite, we're prayin' for you and yours.

California people would probably be wearing fur coats (synthetic)where you are cause they aren't used to it. This looks like a bit of "lake effect" as we call it here. It's God's method of thinning out the weak trees.
