When I spoke with Jeff Fisher this morning (Saturday, November 06, 2004), the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 16th District said he was waiting for the FBI to show up. Fisher has evidence, he says, not only that the Florida election was hacked, but of who hacked it and how. And not just this year, he said, but that these same people had previously hacked the Democratic primary race in 2002 so that Jeb Bush would not have to run against Janet Reno, who presented a real threat to Jeb, but instead against Bill McBride, who Jeb beat.
"It was practice for a national effort," Fisher told me.
And some believe evidence is accumulating that the national effort happened on November 2, 2004.
The State of Florida, for example, publishes a county-by-county record of votes cast and people registered to vote by party affiliation. Net denizen Kathy Dopp compiled the official state information into a table, available at http://ustogether.org/Florida_Election.htm, and noticed something startling. [...]
As if Reno was a threat to Jeb! Yeah, I'm sure she had the Cuban ex-pat vote locked up. The only threat Reno would have been to Jeb would be in an arm-wrestling match...
Yep, I know. If one cannot control physical access then any real security on a PC is moot. It would be interesting to find out how the Tabulator gets the data to tabulate. Via modem? Diskette? CD-R? Of course there would have to be a large conspiracy to compromise the Tabulation PCs in enough places to matter in a national election. That in itself makes the whole scenario extremely unlikely.
Ignoring, of course, the fact that the parties take down independent counts of each precinct in front of the judge of elections and report them to Party HQ for independent tablulation.
How dumb are these people? Have they ever actually participated in an election?
Well, actually they are...for a short time several times on Nov. 2nd when they dial up and upload results periodically. An easy matter to intercept and corrupt that data.
OK so what is generally prescribed for hysteria and delusion? I need to make an investment but can't decide which among the pharmaceutical companies has the brightest future...
Really? Where is the "in"?
P. S. I have pinged the mods to have this thread deleted.
No, I did not "know it".
Go away newbie, back to du land.
What is "du land"? Further, what is your problem with me? I've done nothing but post info that bothered me to try to get other FR readers takes on it. Look at my posting history. Is there any evidence in any post I have made that I am something other than a conservative? You are Judge and Jury for my posts? Good grief yourself. :-/
Oh! That hat is FUNNY! :-D
I also found out by using "Search site" that DU means Democratic Underground. Now that is a sad site indeed. I don't believe I will be reading posts over there very often.
Not sure. I read an article posted here on FR the weekend before the election about some counties that had testing done by some outside agency for this type of thing and they were able to intercept the data at the time of transmission.
As a result, they were told not to transmit electronically but to hand deliver results until a hardening could be done. Don't know whether they followed this advice or not.
