Popular Homeschooling Website has "11/2 is the new 9/11."

Just thought I would give all of you homeschoolers who might frequent the VegSource homeschooling boards a heads up. If you go to the link, you will see for yourself.

I have not been to those boards in ages because the board owners are very anti-republican, anti-constitution, and above all, quite biased against those with right-leaning viewpoints. They ban 99.9% of anything that is of this viewpoint.

I don't see the site as homeschooler site. It's more like left-wing new-age tree-hugger (and Bush-hater) vegetarian site.

You are right but they also have quite a few homeschooling forums over there as well and the owners of the board, Jeff (aka Armour food company) and Sabrina Nelson are hostile toward conservatives as they delete posts. There is a hs issues board, religious homeschooling board, for sale boards, etc.

I would just like to add that almost half of the Vegsource site is geared towards homeschoolers, many of who are very conservative and moral families. They don't even have a clue that Vegsource has posted that horrific statement on the main page of their website because most homeschoolers bookmark and only visit the homeschool side of the site.

I hope that many will see your article and go visit the main web page and see for themselves how left-liberal and hateful the owners of Vegsource are. I cannot understand why they are equating Bush winning the election with 9/11. To me that is so unpatriotic and hateful.

Here is a direct link to Vegsource if you want to see for yourself.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I've been visiting homeschool boards on the site since I started hs'ing 4 years ago. I often wondered why the owner doesnt get out of the meat business if he's such a vegan. Seems kinda hypocritical to make so much money from his family company (Armour) while proclaiming how horrible meat is. After seeing this awful statement I intend to boycott the site. (I'm one who links directly to the homeschool boards, I never go to the homepage or the vegan/animal rights sections) Now I dont even want to have anything to do with it.

I don't blame you kcmom. I am appalled at the statement Vegsource is making...I never realized how hypocritical they are. There are thousands of homeschoolers that frequent that site and I hope they will see it. Funny how Vegsource didn't post it on any of the boards that the conservatives frequent.

I wonder if Rush has been notified about this. Hmmm maybe he will be receiving some email.

That is un believable! How could anyone compare a fair or even an unfair election to the murder of thousands of innocent Americans?! I wish they could be put in the top of a hundred story building set on fire by jet fuel and see if they get the same feeling they got on 11-02-04. Or put them on a plane with their child sitting next to them while they watch airplane personnel murdered as they see the Hudson River and realize they are headed straight for the WTC, or the Pentagon. Or over the field in PA when you find out you are on the plane with terrorists and you are destined to die. Their comparison just turns my stomach. Whether you are a democrat or republican, it should anger every American.

I totally agree...It is incomprehensible that they would post such evilness.

However, apparently due to pressure of losing homeschoolers from visiting their site and clicking on their ads to add to their bank account, they finally removed the horrific statement.

From what I understand, many homeschoolers emailed the owners of Vegsource and even posted a message on their website about the statement. The message posted was promptly removed as well as the horrific 9/11 statement on their homepage.

So we know where they stand...on the side of evil and greed.

I agree with you. The homeschooling issues board is the most hostile place (next to DU) I have ever seen. There is even a public school teacher who posts/reads/insults conservatives while at school and at taxpayer expense.

What??? That's disgusting....although I can't say I'm surprised. What the heck is a public school teacher doing posting on a homeschool board??? And during work hours from school. She should be reported as it is against Dept. of Education policies in our state for teachers to use the Internet for personal, political or commercial purposes. I have a friend who's a ps teacher and she said a teacher got fired for that reason and they have cracked down on usage of the Internet. Also students are complaining that teachers have been surfing the net instead of teaching class. Sad, isn't it..no wonder so many people homeschool.

Some other liberal propaganda, I'm sure. They let those liberals on the homeschool issues board rant about the most liberal issues in the world but conservatives get banned left and right. They need to change the name of the board from Homeschool Issues Board to LIBERAL Issues Board, don't you think?

That doesn't surprise me at all, anymore. Some homeschoolers in my area are very upset about Bush's win, and they're fans of Michael Moore, etc. Odd, considering that Democrats are the ones always trying to regulate homeschoolers.

If anyone has a copy of the text, would you post it? It looks like VS might have felt the heat and pulled the statement.
