A problem I am investigating at a Waffle House (vote supression)
There is a Waffle House in Dallas TX. I just received a call from my sister who says the manager of this establishment is refusing to allow employees to leave to vote (supposedly due to a shortage of personnel). Although I can understand a shortage of warm bodies, I believe this to be vote supression, deliberate or not.
I'm going to drive over to get the manager's name and the exact address of the place (the online directory does not list addresses). Is there someone who would know the next step in protecting these votes?

If he hassles this guy his next post might be from his laptop at the emergency room.

Vote supression of 3 votes (that is about all they are staffed with, a cook and a couple of waitresses).

I do not believe leaving work to vote is a right...nonsense

Waffle House: four illiterate Democrats forced to continue cooking, may only have time to vote twice later in day. That could cost Kerry Texas!

Maybe post signs outside the restaurant about what is going on, and let the wave of angry customers solve the problem for you.

That waffle house is open 14 hours a day. I doubt anyone works 14 hour shifts (except maybe the owner!)

As I've said before, the Dems won't be happy until we circles that are half red and half blue and which ever side you fall down on indicates your vote. That way the mentally retarded will not be "disenfranchised."

Actually in some states, and under some circumstances, employers have to let their employees go vote.
To: ican'tbelieveit
How much do you want to bet their shifts end at 3:00 PM, giving them 4 hours to get to the polls after they get off work?

In my voting life, I never had an employer let me take time off from work to vote. I either voted before work or after work.

If Waffle servers are not dedicated to thier Waffle King, then WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO? Let's face it, if they couldn't figure out their schedule for election day, and make arrangements accordingly, we don't need waffle brains like that voting.
