It appears that Drudge is linking back to the Washington Post that has all the details but the Washington Post is hammered and its response is REALLY REALLY slow. I wonder why! ;)

Anyways, here is another link that has a copy of the Washington Posts site here.

...or the source and thus the story is suspect and not worth the effort of thinking about this story.

I don't think the Russians are that good to do this under our noses or we are that incompetent to not detect the dozens of heavy trucks moving between sensitive arms dumps and the Syrian border on the eve of the invasion.

Ok, here's another article for you...remember, all the links I am sending you are dealing with Russia, not the Soviet Union.

I promise I'll give it a good read tomorrow and comment, but I don't want you to leave with the idea that I consider Vlad Putin the next Albert Scheitzer world philanthopist. He's a hard-assed Russian former KGB colonel.

But your article is 10 years old, and frankly the World changed forever, for profound good or ultimate bad, on September 11, 2001. Those 19 acne laden Islamopukes blew up ALL the world's cozy despotic relationships and criminal frauds the moment President George W. Bush and the American people viewed our devestation, and went into hardassed Texas-style "fix this sheyatt for good" payback mode.

Regards.

"I promise I'll give it a good read tomorrow and comment"

Please do, I was only just getting started (plenty more to send). I can tell you're honest, so I already respect your opinion. But let me remind you, the dates on the articles are post-collapse...that makes all the difference in the world.

Shaw is not now, nor has he ever been, under investigation by the DoD IG. Any questions concerning FBI activities should be addressed to the FBI.

The FBI has opened an investigation into trying to find out who is incorrectly discrediting Shaw. That's my read of the article.

The FBI never investigates to find people innocent. Your read of it is wishful thinking.

Read it again. It sounds to me like they are investigating who is starting this rumor; not him.

"The inspector general's office -- which investigates waste, fraud and abuse at the Pentagon -- has turned over its inquiry into Shaw's actions to the FBI to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, the sources said."

inquiry into Shaw's actions - very specific.
