Thank you for continuing to serve us, in many ways. You're a great American.
Note that this picture was taken in April, 1971. At that time, my late husband was still in VietNam, fighting, while this ba$tard, this lying commie-lover, this self-confessed war criminal, was slandering my husband and other good men.
Not only did my husband have to fight in a war, but when he came back home, his life was made a living hell by the likes of Kerry. I so hate this man I can hardly stand to hear his voice or see his face. If I could vote against him twice (too bad I don't live in Chicago or Philly), I would.
Thank you, Tonk, for all your posts. Tho some of us sit silently (ok, not so silently), don't think they aren't appreciated.
God Bless you my Friend!
These are the thoughts of most vets, past and current. Kerry has to go.
Thanks for all you do!
Now I think I know the reason - by having kerry's past brought out and smeared in his face, it is going to help all of you Vietnam Vets bring some closure to your years spent there, and the pathetic treatment once you got home.
At least I hope it helps you all.....
Personally I don't see this as a closure at all.
THE "win" will be President Bush being elected again.
I believe on Nov 3 (assuming no recounts etc) that America as a whole will once again forget Viet Nam Vets.
People will "move on" and the smear done by Kerry and Fonda will stay.
Viet Nam Vets will be attacked and blamed
for Kerry's defeat by the Left.
Other than the small minority, who have always supported Vets, we will be left to "deal with it" ourselves.
Me, my motto is BRING IT ON!
BRAVO!
I was within 20 feet of his big blue fancy smancy bus with tinted windows and grumpy faces, hehe, and the two huge press buses and assorted VIP guest mini buses, gobs of police vehicles and police cars and cycles. All turned into the high school drive right beside me...and I held my signs up high...glad I used foam board...the wind was really nasty there! (It was cold, too!) I also nailed um leaving...stood across the street and they had to turn right in front of me as they left the school. Along with the others there...I think we made out point!
It was a little hairy as the folks there to hear kerry left, hundreds and hundreds of cars going by our protest line and many of them testy...actually furious.
Some of these people actually turned their cars into the protest line, faking wanting to run us over. Finally the police got so concerned they rerouted the cars around the block behind us. It was really something. Lots and LOTS of middle fingers and screaming insults coming from the nasty liberals. Didn't like us raining on their parade. Tough.(There was a line up of about 20-25 protesters-some anti-abortion, some angry vets like yourself, and me....disgusted with everything about johnny gigolo kerry.)
My signs said -'Kerry BETRAYED our Vietnam Vets!' and 'STOP KERRY, Give the Vietnam Vets the Parade they NEVER had!'
Back sides said 'No Show Senator, No Show President' and 'Kerry-pick on your OWN kids" LOL!
Thanks for the ping!
Thank YOU for standing up for America!
BTTT!!!!!!!
A wealth of info here backhoe.
I think we need to keep this one
in "your files."
Thanks- copied & saved.

I wish I had saved a link to a reply I saw here a month or so ago... one of our members had a chat with a high-level Democratic operative ( not one of the big names, but upon reflection, I remembered him ) after a lecture he'd given, and his contention was "a $1.00 bumper sticker was worth about $25.00 of major media advertising," because it was seen by so many different people.
FYI, and FWIW, on the Georgia coast, I see Bush vs. Kerry stickers and signs at about a 3 to 1 ratio. I am seeing more Kerry, ahem! "stuff" as the election approaches.
( click the pic... )
I carried in my mail in ballot as well. Felt good to get it done. Thanks for the ping, and your service.
You're a great American!
That is so beautiful I can hardly stand it. I want to read it over and over and over.
