Democratic Underground WHO IS WELCOME ON DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND, AND WHO IS NOT
We welcome Democrats of all stripes, along with other progressives who will work with us to achieve our shared goals.
This is a "big tent" message board. We welcome a wide range of progressive opinion. You will likely encounter many points of view here that you disagree with.
We ban conservative disruptors who are opposed to the broad goals of this website. If you think overall that George W. Bush is doing a swell job, or if you wish to see Republicans win, or if you are generally supportive of conservative ideals, please do not register to post, as you will likely be banned.
If you have been banned from Democratic Underground, you are not permitted to log on again using a different username. Previously banned members will be immediately banned, regardless of behavior.
People who repeatedly and willfully break the rules, or who generally engage in rude, antisocial behavior, will be banned. It doesn't matter if you are a progressive or a long-term member of this board.
Free Republic Posting Guidelines Broadly stated, the goals of this site are to further conservatism, expose political corruption, and recover a truly constitutional form of government. If these are not your goals, you may find another discussion site more suitable.
Free Republic expects users to follow a few simple posting guidelines (described below) and by posting to the forum you and others agree to abide by them. While Free Republic is not edited or censored, it does reserve the right to remove any postings that are considered inappropriate. Examples of inappropriate posts are those that are off-subject or contain advertising, pornography, obscene material, racist material, Nazi (or other hate group) material, materials promoting violence, threats or illegal acts, etc.
These guidelines are intended to help maintain a useful amount of order in a large site like this and to promote better posting. They may be revised without notice. Users of Free Republic should also understand that this is a privately owned, not-for-profit site and that they are guests here. The owner reserves the right to revoke posting privileges and, when necessary, to permanently ban individuals.
Yes they do.
We generally allow honest liberals interested in fair debate to stay.
However, honest liberals anymore are more rare than consistent positions by John Kerry, so that's why you don't see too many of them here.
Yes. We used to have a few token liberals around, but they eventually snapped, violated the rules, and were banned.
Now, I think most just get banned.
Obvious liberal disruptors are banned here too. It's JR's sandbox. Over in the DUmpster, it's their sandbox. Why do you care who they ban?
That website doesn't allow individual thought because the flaws in the logic at DU would be revealed. "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."
They like to play word games as usual and hide behind the term 'Progressives'.
Makes sense. Like vampires, they cannot stand the light of day (truth). So they hide in their coffins and only come out at night, when they think no one will recognize them, and their agenda....

I guess asking questions is one way to find out about this forum but most of us just hung out (lurked) for a bit got the feel of the place then jumped in.
RB
Even when the Socialists arrive, we invite them in from the cold to sit by the fire for a bit. If they abuse that welcome, we simply throw them into the fire.
Do the moderators of this site ban libs? Just curious.
Sometimes, MOD will ban a serial troll, just for showing up again. But if there are people showing up who state up front that they're moderate or Leftist, abide by the rules and heed the word of MOD, then they are welcome, too, for as long as MOD permits.
I think its unfortunate that they live in their own liberal world. Personally, I love debating libs. Its fun.
Lugsoul is still around. Murrymom's batteries seem to have gone dead.
Is it unfortunate that we live in our own little world over here?
I am big on questions. My teachers at CSUN hate me.
Like this?:
Not outright. What generally happens is this: a liberal poster will start a discussion on, say, abortion. Liberal is then confronted with facts. Liberal loses temper, calls FReepers a bunch of "Nazi pig scumsuckers" etc etc, and gets banned.
I don't think its admin's fault for cleaning up the wreckage after an implosion.
If you never go out and debate your ideas, yes.
Don't know about a liberal banned, but I have seen a house fly.
Her last post was on the first.
I guess the only stupid Question is the unasked one.... Unless your a lib then they are all stupid, the questions they ask as well
