We used to have a poster who posted a scrolling sign whigh said "The democrat party is a criminal enterprise."
This year, more than ever, I am convinced he was right.

Could someone kindly tell me in a sentence or two what indymedia is all about?Indymedia attracts America haters of every imaginable stripe, color and odor. They are also for the most part, anti-Israel.

Hey - excuse me if this is the stupidest question you've ever heard, but can you clear up the Tides organization question for me?? I keep hearing that they are two totally seperate things and that the one funded by Tuhrayzuh has nothing to do with terrorism, but with protecting the environment...yada, yada, yada. Can you say definitively that they are connected (which is what I always thought) and do you have a reliable source?

That was my thinking too. I've heard a lot of leftist groups are collecting money to help the "insurgents".

The last few months have seen numerous attacks on independent media by the US Federal Government. In August the Secret Service used a subpoena in an attempt to disrupt the NYC IMC before the RNC by trying to get IP logs from an ISP in the US and the Netherlands. Last month the FCC shut down community radio stations around the US. Two weeks ago the FBI requested that Indymedia takes down a post on the Nantes IMC that had a photo of some undercover Swiss police and IMC volunteers in Seattle were visited by the FBI on the same issue. On the other hand, Indymedia and other independent media organisations were successfull with their victories for example against Diebold and the Patroit Act. Today however, the US authorities shut down IMCs around the world.
Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the VP is such a VIP, shouldn't we keep the PC on the QT? 'Cause of the leaks to the VC he could end up MIA, and then we'd all be put out in KP.

What do you mean? Doesn't western Massachusetts look perfectly natural in a list with France?
[I can see the confusion with Poland on there...it looks out of place.]
Aren't there George Soros' Open Society offices in all those places?

Maybe this is why the Dems are particularly squirrely and shrill today.

Follow the money to every communist, anarchist, leftist piece of trash on the planet, and you will find indymedia!
The Feds wouldn't have bothered unless they knew that Indymedia's servers weren't being used by the jihadi, with the connivance of the bastards at Indymedia.
That's what's up here, folks. Someone's hard drive led them to Indymedia.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

Well, there was the jihady named Babar who was using his computer skills to recruit - the guy who was chatting with the sympathetic US sailor who was nabbed. Wasn't his site azzam.com- it would get shut down and then reappear again all the time? Maybe Azzam.com was intertwined with indymedia.

Holy Crap!
Wonder how good John John will be in the debate tomorrow knowing he may not make it to his Inauguration even if he wins in November.

Last month the FCC shut down community radio stations around the US.
That must mean a number of 'pirate' FM stations were 'busted' ...
