Probably one of the best in combining humour with political events, and news.... compared to anybody.

Welcome to Free Republic.
Some of what you have mentioned is already on the board. Fiddle around with your preferences, My home page is "latests posts."
Pretty much of anything important is here somewhere.

Actually they're not plants - they're different characters that Phil does himself. He's very talented and his characters get soooo outrageous.

I don't think I'll ever listen to Phil, cause I'm so sick of his dumb CORTASLIM ads... Good grief.
I know what you mean, and if it isn't Phil it is his goofy wife Maria. lol

I love how Phil starts his character out with saying something slightly inflammatory and then he starts adding a a little more information to stir up the pot further, until he finally has the callers roped in, and his characters are spewing forth the most outrageous things possible. It is so funny how eloquent the callers can be when in high dudgeon and righteous indignation. Some people, no matter how often they listen, never get it is all a gag. lol

I don't get Laura Ingram... It's Ingraham, BTW, but the important thing is that you can get her here, on your computer. From 0900-1200 hours, Eastern. And I have heard Glenn Beck a couple of times and liked what I heard.

Quinn is the BEST!! I listen to part of his show live in the car on the way to work, but then I have to listen to the archived show the next day to get the rest of it. Stinks, but don't have any alternative. I hope he goes live on the internet soon. He and Rose are a great team!

You can get Laura online on WGJR Jacksonville, Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 12 Noon, at:
http://wjgr.com
She follows Bill Bennett's "Morning in America". Dennis Prager follows her.

Are Glen Beck shows available online in archives somewhere ? Isn't Glen Beck the host that does telephone calls to himself in two voices in real time ? If that's the guy, he's very funny, clever and very original. I've only been able to pick him up a very few times. the last time was quite some time ago. If I had known he was conservative, I would have listened to him very frequently and buy from his sponsors.

There`s talk of him going satellite after 01-01-05, but they won`t elaborate. As much as there is to talk about, I wonder why 9:00-10:00 is a repeat of hour 1. I can think of lots he can do to fill that hour with original programming.

Thanks. I've mostly been just reading and playing on non-serious threads.
Re: this issue (of BushHQs as targets), I have most of them, but the AK ones are not (yet) posted; and I am somewhat inexperienced. In addition, I am at office - sorry for any mistakes. :-) Norski

Sorry to say Glenn Beck and Laura Ingraham come on at the same time here. I have to switch off from time to time and I hate that. I like both of them. The local channel that carries Beck has a commercial for his show saying (paraphrasing here)..."Glenn Beck.........showing that getting dropped on your head can't be all bad". Sometimes he goes balistic and I enjoy every minute of it. *~*

I think Glenn Beck is the most truly funny and thoughtful conservative talk show host on the air right now.
His "Do You Want to Hear Some Morons" contest bit is based on calling convenience store clerks from the two cities in the upcoming Monday Football Game (no really!).
He'll ask three history/political questions and a fourth "pop culture" question. Almost invariably the heavily accented third world entrepreneurs will never get the American history/political questions but nail the pop culture question.
Glen - "Who Participated in the Civil War?"
Third World Guy - "Vell, vell Mr. Beck I do not know dis."
Glen - "Grenada and the Flaklands Islands."
Third World Guy - "Oh velly good. Tank you velly much."
Rush was best with his musical parodies and his ability to really drill down an issue to an extremely fine point.
When Beck is having a good day he can be even better than Rush ever was in his "Golden Era".
Rush's callers say "Ditto!", Glenn's callers say "Good Morning You Sick Freak!"
Good stuff, check it out!
