Have you folks heard of the Constitution Party? www.constitutionparty.com Principal can be very hard to discern in politics. I just know that if the constitution party really had a chance to win they would definitely get my vote. This is a party of mostly Christians that uphold the constitution, guided by the Holy Bible, as the ultimate law of the land.

Burkeman1 was an almost clone of Galt, almost the same quotes and behaviors. To a point.
Galt's specialty was excommunication, in the most pompous form imaginable, as Pope of True Conservatism; Burkeman's, drunken challenges to fight.

Nice analogy! and Correct one at that. Galt flamed me several times and I have to admit, it was brutal. I was bruised for a week.

What we need are more Scalias and Thomases in courts...at all levels. THE most important domestic issue facing us this election year.

With multiple parties (say 5 or more), at least you'll begin to get an honest debate of issues instead of bipolar idiocy. No you won't. You'll just get coalitions forming among parties instead of within the big two. You'll have the Green / CPUSA / Union / Racepimp party coalition vs the Religious / Neocon / Paleocon / Strict Constructionalist coalition. The only thing you'll empower is a bunch of Jumpin' Jeffords type fence sitters selling their vote.

No freedoms have been taken away so the question is strictly rhetorical and I don't play that game.
On several Civil War related threads you have defended the traitors' attempts to destroy the Union, attacked Lincoln as a tyrant etc.
Our government is the size it is because of 1) the incessant demand for rights by the populance; 2) the requirements of a modern military and 3) the millions of enemies from around the world created by a powerful, rich nation. Each of those demands for rights generates huge bureaucracies to service them.
This is the result of giving the American people what they ask for and the fault lies with them no one else. Now we must bribe the masses to allow national security.
As a nation becomes larger and more complex so does the government. It is unavoidable. Pretending that we are still in a country where the nearest neighbor is 20 miles away and there is no industry and few cities is silly.

"Have you folks heard of the Constitution Party?" Sorry, but saying that only the Bible should be the law of the land doesn't sound like people who support the Constitution. Yet another group of third-party whackjobs living in a pre-9-11 world.

Yes, one must have an appreciation of "gallows humor" to help maintain a balanced perspective.
