I don't want to completely stick my neck out on this, because when you hope something is true, it clouds your judgemenet (as Dan Rather has found out!)
But it appears to me that tickets are available at all the gigs for the "swing states" pro-Kerry/anti-Bush tour. Curiously, New York and New York have not been added to this "swing states" tour.
Odd. Now, this is not 1980, but it seems even the Springsteen shows still have tickets available. A bad sign for the left?
Somehow, their "call for change" hasn't changed much since the collectivists of Europe starting bellowing it in the 1830's and 1840's. It't betrays such a depth of ignorance. Hey, dudes, it hasn't worked, it's only created death and misery. Get a clue!
Well, I found that conservative singers usually suck!
I do like TMBG
Good post. I checked all the shows, the same as you did, the other day. The only one that was definitely sold out was the Springsteen show in Philly.
Thanks for the compliment
That is kind of the problem I have with this bunch.
They can say what they like but to sell tickets to a concert and then turn it into a political harangue of the audience is kind of like being invited to dinner only to find out it is actually a candle-light party.
In this case it is at least they are up front about it. So a lot of people aren't going.
But when you sell a me a ticket for a concert, "Shut up and Sing!" Or beware the flying slushy. If I want leftest politics I can watch See-BS! for free.
Don't forget to add Linda Ronstadt to the list.

Hopefully she headed for Nogales and keeps going south.

Didn't John Prine start out as a mailman?
You're welcome. There's two other ways we know this tour is a flop:
Yeah, John Prine started out as a mailman in the western suburbs of Chicago.
One of my good liberal friends is going on Oct 1 to the concert in PA and I asked for full report from him. I hope PA is no longer a swing by that date : )
Aw, not Keb Mo. That guy's one fine bluesman.
DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE is against Bush?
Hold the phone, this changes everything!
I hear you. Never liked Bruce as a kid, don't like him now. Fogerty's the only one in that rotten bunch who ever had any talent. Then again, he's always been into the anti-war type stuff. I don't agree with him but I can be a bit more forgiving than with, say, REM and the Blixie Chicks.
*cough*
