The link to the UPI article exposing the scam is still live, though.
Damn. And they were so SURE about this one. Well, at least they still have the Plame Grand Jury. Bwa ha ha ha ha!
Since when did they have troubles with phonying things up?
I lurked at the DUmmies spider hole the other night, and one poster had investigated the rules of wearing the medal, and posted the rules. This person was at least honest. They were allowed to wear the medal while they were serving or something like that.
If they removed every untrue or misleading story from their archives, they could run the whole site with a Commodore 64.
LOL
In just the last couple of weeks, they've been laughing amongst themselves about how stupid Freepers were to think that a journalistic legend like Dan Rather didn't absolutely insure those documents were geniune, they've posted photographic "proof" that they union goon who ripped up the little girl's Bush/Cheney poster was actually her brother (the photo comparison was absolutely hysterical - they didn't even look remotely alike), and now this story.
They are a confused bunch of bumbling idiots over there, convinced that they are proving their intellectual superiority everyday.
Dr Krevorkian should clone himself.
He will be in high demand from the lunatic libs between now and when GW is sworn in for his second term.
Dear DU Lurkers:
I light of this and todays events at CBS - Perhaps it's time you took a fearless look at which party is engaged in lies, fearmongering, and dirty politics.
You are welcome to switch parties. Keep lurking and open your mind.

Sad, and true...
I know, huh.............lol
Huh??!
Since when did they have an ethics gene? Since when did they pull a story/thread because it was demostrably false?
I don't get it...
Another "mistake in judgment" ala Dan Rather? Idiots.
This is a different (but somewhat related) issue. My sister just emailed this to me from michael moore's website. He claims that service personnel are being "blackmailed" into re-signing or being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. (I could not stomach reading it all...I despise the man.) Anyone know about this?

Thanks for any help in this.

That's very droll, ancient one! :-) :-)
Don't worry. I keep a folder called "Insane $hit from DU" and that thread is one I have available. I have several threads archived that they have since removed.
I read DU regularly. They are a mixed bag. The language is a LOT worse and for the most part (with some exceptions), they do not like orthodox Christianity or Christians. They also tend to be socialists and hate capitalism. There are some honest researchers over there, though (a few, not most of them). And they are worth reading. They also agree with FR on a surprising number of threads, surprising because of the two sides oft stated disgust with the other. Both FR and DU tend to be adamant on the issue of the State not taking away individual liberties. Sometimes the two sites are saying the same thing, but just taking the exact opposite sides. Sometimes I wonder if outside agitators post on both sites just to keep the two hating each other.
