I just recently started going over there to read their stuff - have they always been so consistently wrong? So consistently arrogant even though they are constantly PROVEN wrong?

In just the last couple of weeks, they've been laughing amongst themselves about how stupid Freepers were to think that a journalistic legend like Dan Rather didn't absolutely insure those documents were geniune, they've posted photographic "proof" that they union goon who ripped up the little girl's Bush/Cheney poster was actually her brother (the photo comparison was absolutely hysterical - they didn't even look remotely alike), and now this story.

They are a confused bunch of bumbling idiots over there, convinced that they are proving their intellectual superiority everyday.

I read DU regularly. They are a mixed bag. The language is a LOT worse and for the most part (with some exceptions), they do not like orthodox Christianity or Christians. They also tend to be socialists and hate capitalism. There are some honest researchers over there, though (a few, not most of them). And they are worth reading. They also agree with FR on a surprising number of threads, surprising because of the two sides oft stated disgust with the other. Both FR and DU tend to be adamant on the issue of the State not taking away individual liberties. Sometimes the two sites are saying the same thing, but just taking the exact opposite sides. Sometimes I wonder if outside agitators post on both sites just to keep the two hating each other.
