" For months I have been predicting a Kerry landslide, something on the order of 60/40. I now doubt that it will work out that way and in fact I am becomming convinced that we are going to lose this election.
We do not have to lose it, but if John Kerry and John Edwards contine to lay down in the face of filth like that spewed by Zell Miller this past week we do not stand a chance. That 11 point bounce we all deny exists is real and it comes from the junk-yard-dog attack against is. That attack has gone mostly unanswered, just as it did when Al Gore was running, and the effect of letting it go by will be the same. We will lose. The only counter to this is to get mean. I mean real mean. It is pure nonsense that the people only want to hear about the issues. Bush has proven that by never addressing the issues but holding onto a lead that we refuse to face.
You mark my words, if we do not get mean, very mean indeed and very mean very soon we do not stand a chance in this comming election. Do any of you really understand how important this election is to our country's survival? It would seem not.

We all need to count the cost and do exactly what Zell Miller has done - put family and country above political party when the political party refuses to no longer listen to what is best for family and country.

My limited amount of poking around in the DUmpster leads me to believe that the demographics there are similar to those of a public school, or some other institutional setting.
There is a cadre of snide ideologues who control the discourse and demand deference.
There is a multitude of yes-people and brown-nosers who affirm the wisdom of their bleak and humorless masters, er...leaders,er...vanguard elements, most of these followers betraying deep psychological disorders in so doing.
There is a tiny brief-lived minority of naive posters who end up zotted because of their quaint American ingenuousness. Honest dissent has no place in the DUmpster.

If that should happen, does Edwards take over? What does election law say?

Help spread the truth and use your Freeper knowledge to reverse the public brainwashing! Adopt bi-partisan yahoo groups and message boards and post the articles and information that the MSM tries to suppress.

Sure.
I doubt that they sre that young, they are just being themselves. I work with 4 die hard libs very closely, and they are my friends (amazing, isn't it?), but thet spew the same garbage as you might see on DU all the time. Fun thing about these guys is they have nothing to say when you hit them with hard facts. They all loved Dean, and still wish he was running. They speak straight from the communist manifesto and don't even know it until you point it out to them (which really gets 'em sauced, I might add) They love the Bush/Hitler comparison and get mad when you point out to them that Hitler's Fascist-Socialism is very close to what the Democratic party of today espouses. They all have masters degrees, and are too "smart" for their own good. They just have a hard time giving up what they've always been taught to believe in. I guess it hurts to know that deep down inside, you are wrong.
