Edward Warburton Bancroft, Born October 19, 1923, passed away today at 18:20 in a Convalescent home in Windsor Locks Connecticut.
So sorry to hear of your lose Race.
Im sure he was one heck of a man.
May the Lord comfort you, give you strength, and keep you in His Light.
Condolences and Prayers.
I'm so very sorry to hear of your great loss. God be with you all at this difficult time especially.
Oh what sad news RaceBannon ... My prayers are with you and your family {{HUGS}}
I am so sorry for your father's passing, Race. I'm sure he was very proud of you. Please accept my prayers for you and your family.
As you may know, am helping my 81 year old stepdad care for my 79 year old mother who has Alzheimer's.
Last week she lost bowel control in an incident when dad was away. She handled the humiliation better than I thought. And, it's one of life's symmetries that they wipe our butts when we are babies and we theirs when they are old. A bit of an honor, really.
But it feels like a huge loss in my gut as I read your post.
Your dad looks like he was a very perceptive and strong but tenderhearted man.
May The God of all Comfort fill your heart and life with Himself. He alone can make up the loss in any respects.
Thankfully, given the era we are in, it appears that we can look forward to a reunion much sooner than earlier generations.
In any case, God's peace and rest be yours. I'm glad your dad is out of the suffering that my mother still endures. It's not a very fun process, in my experience of it. Evidently there's something worthwhile for their spirits to experience in this excruciating process--and perhaps ours who stand by and help as well. He clearly doesn't do things my way. Thankfully, God does them best, however, regardless of what it appears at the time.
May He wrap His strong tender arms around you and each loved one and draw you closer to each other and to himself.
God's best to you,
Sincerely,
I am so sorry for your loss. May you be comforted in your grief.
I am so sorry for your loss. May you be comforted in your grief.
Perhaps they will meet?
Alzhiemers is one awful way to go.
It surely is. May he rest in peace now, free from the prison his mind became.
God rest his soul.
Prayers for your family, Race. You're right, Alzheimers is an awful way to lose someone.
He was actually a conscientious objector who volunteered. He asked for radio school and stateside duty because he didn't think he could kill anyone.
But because of the need, he knew he had to serve.
And he didn't run to Canada or England to smoke dope. He went in and at least served.
My mother assured me he was no coward, he just didn't think he had what it took to kill someone.
His and my Mom's upbringing is what made me the proud Marine. He never told me I was wrong, he encouraged me to be the best Marine I could, and when ordered to Iran, he was behind me 1000%.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad rests now in the Everlasting Arms. Prayers lifted for you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss, Race. My family will be praying for you and yours.
Your father his country well - and his family. Death for Christians is but a temporary separation and when you see your father again, he won't have Alzheimers. May God comfort you and your family during this time.
Prayers to you and deepest condolences on your loss.
Your #51 was good.
you can imagine then, what the Reagan Funeral was like for me. It was a matter of time, and it was all on my mind, seeing RR laid to rest for the same thing my Dad was dying from.
I wanted to kill the photographers who snapped all those pictures of Nancy weeping over the casket. These people treated him like dirt when he was alive, and now, they are all pulling for a Pulitzer in his death.
If some scumwaffle tries to film my Mom for some paper she will have to bail me out for attempted murder.
