How can we as a nation deal with the two irreconcilible ideologies of liberalism and conservatism? Easy! Cut the nation in two! Explore this and other similar ideas at www.twoamericas.us
Also available is a great classic computer game from the early '70's, "Hamurabi". This game gives you the opportunity to manage a small nation and try your best to keep it alive for 10 years.
In my version, however, you have the opportunity to modify the text to fit your interests. Want to turn "Aincient Sumeria" into "Modern America"? No problem!
Anyhow, give it a look, and take a moment to post a comment or two. Thanks!
People who say there isn't a dime's worth of difference between Democrats and Republicans are overstating the case. But not by much. Neither party hesitates to intrude government into the lives of Americans. Republicans, under the yoke of social conservatism, seek to legislate the lifestyles and cramp the freedoms of adult citizens. Democrats, under the yoke of 'fairness,' seek to level incomes and punish success while driving a socialist agenda.
May I suggest the two Americas split into freedom-firsters and lovers of government? An honest political spectrum runs between liberty on one end and authoritarianism on the other, not left and right. Measuring the two major parties on the honest spectrum reveals we are laboring under statist governments, no matter who is in power, because, under those lights, there isn't a dime's worth of difference between the two parties. Different garbage goes in, the same old garbage comes out.
This is the most outlandish idea I have ever heard. We fought the most devistating war ever on our shores under President Lincoln over just such an idea, and thank GOD and thank President Lincoln for keeping the Union one nation......."Devided We Fall"
