Help our Troops With Books!

Today I stumbled upon Books for Soldiers (www.booksforsoldiers.com) an excellent program which links Americans serving overseas up with books and other materials. While I admire this program, I was shocked to see that Michael Moore is using this opportunity to ship thousands of copies of his books and DVDs overseas to propagandize American servicemen, apparently in an effort to destroy their morale. I cant imagine that anyone sitting in the Mesopotamian desert could read Dude, Wheres My Country? and come out feeling good about themselves or their service (that being, if they take Michael Moore seriously). This is an utterly low and loathsome practice- the deliberate dissemination of treasonous material to Americas fighting forces in a combat zone.
So, lets hit back: lets make sure that we can get some conservative reading material overseas to our embattled heroes. Ive already put up for offer the following:
2 Copies of "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy 2 Copies of "The Third World War: August 1985" by General Sir John Hackett 1 Copy of "Arc Light" by Eric L. Harry 1 Copy of "The Way Things Ought to Be" by Rush Limbaugh 1 Copy of "Fatherland" by Robert Harris 1 Copy of "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein 1 Copy of "Democracy in America" by Alexis de Tocqueville 1 Copy of "A Hymn Before Battle" by John Ringo 1 Copy of "Without Remorse" by Tom Clancy
And Im going to go out to the local used book store in the next few days to find some more stuff along similar lines. Will you join me? Lets make sure that solid, entertaining, and patriotic material can reach our fighting men and women.

"Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein Perhaps the best morale-builder of them all.

Maybe we should see which conservative writers might help us out.
Could the The American Spectator, the National Review and the Weekly Standard give us a few dozen extra copies an issue for shipment?
Perhaps we could contact Mark Steyn, David Frum, John Ringo, Orson Scott Card, and other pro-war writers with recent books who might have copies laying about.

The paper back can be used for toilet paper or to whipe their shoes.

I know Mr. Ringo sent a lot of his books over there already, I also think you should add works by Mr. Weber, especially any involving a certain Manticoran Naval Officer and her treecat...

Unfortunately, programs like these are what accounts for the the high number of Michael Moore book "sales". I've also noticed traveling around the world, that every airport bookshop carries all of Michael Moore's, Al Franken and any other anti-Bush author's work, but no conservative writers. Totally disgusting and the reason books by lefties rest atop the best seller lists for months.
I'm currently in Christchurch New Zealand where Hillary Clinton stares back at me from every book store on the cover of her paperback.

If anyone knows an e-mail for David Weber, feel free to e-mail him.
I sent an email to:
Rush Limbaugh, Tom Clancy, Ann Coulter, David Frum, Mark Steyn, Laura Ingram, Eric L. Harry, and a few others asking if they could spare a few copies of their books for shipment overseas.
Frankly, I'm truly disgusted to hear that these seditious materials are being sent to demoralize the Armed forces.
Does anyone here have any spare books? Surely some of us must, at the least, have extra paperback copies of Rush's books sitting about?
Dave Barry. That's who I should contact.

"Does anyone here have any spare books?"
That's one thing I've got plenty of, mostly murder mysteries, what do you think?

I had to check to see if the quote on your cartoon was an actual quote and sure enough It is on his (Moore's) website. I am amazed at how low these libs will sink everything from calling our soldiers war criminals to this crap.

Let's tape broadcasts of Franken to ship over. A few minutes over the loudspeakers in Fallujah and the "freedom fighters" will surrender like Frenchmen.

I would support this, but when I saw the praise they showered on that fat piece of filth Moore and how 'in bed' they were with them, I felt compelled to write the following letter:
I am a captain in the US Army assigned to Ft Knox, Ky. I was very interested in your site and was going to distribute it to my soldiers so they could send books, magazines, etc to our deployed bretheren. Our missioin here is to train future armor/cav soldiers, officers, and NCOs and test new equipment so we are very involved with any effort to improve moral.
That said, upon hearing you work closely with Micheal Moore, I cannot, in good concience, deal with your group. Moore is a lyar and only seeks to drop the moral of US troops. His "films" and books (such as "Bowling for Columbine" or "Dude, Where's My Country") are fictitous at best, though slanderous, defaming, ignorant, infantile, and moronic are better words.
In his own words from his website:"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush? You closed down a friggin' weekly newspaper, you great giver of freedom and democracy! Then all hell broke loose. The paper only had 10,000 readers! Why are you smirking?
One year after we wiped the face of the Saddam statue with our American flag before yanking him down, it is now too dangerous for a single media person to go to that square in Baghdad and file a report on the wonderful one-year anniversary celebration. Of course, there is no celebration, and those brave blow-dried "embeds" can't even leave the safety of the fort in downtown Baghdad. They never actually SEE what is taking place across Iraq (most of the pictures we see on TV are shot by Arab media and some Europeans). When you watch a report "from Iraq" what you are getting is the press release handed out by the U.S. occupation force and repeated to you as "news."
I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on. They Fed Ex the footage back to me each week. That's right, Fed Ex. Who said we haven't brought freedom to Iraq! The funniest story my guys tell me is how when they fly into Baghdad, they don't have to show a passport or go through immigration. Why not? Because they have not traveled from a foreign country -- they're coming from America TO America, a place that is ours, a new American territory called Iraq.
There is a lot of talk amongst Bush's opponents that we should turn this war over to the United Nations. Why should the other countries of this world, countries who tried to talk us out of this folly, now have to clean up our mess? I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle. I'm sorry, but the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end.
Until then, enjoy the "pacification" of Falluja, the "containment" of Sadr City, and the next Tet Offensive oops, I mean, "terrorist attack by a small group of Baathist loyalists" (Hahaha! I love writing those words, Baathist loyalists, it makes me sound so Peter Jennings!) -- followed by a "news conference" where we will be told that we must "stay the course" because we are "winning the hearts and minds of the people."
I'll write again soon. Don't despair. Remember, the American people are not that stupid. Sure, we can be frightened into a war, but we always come around sooner or later -- and the one way this is NOT like Vietnam is that it hasn't taken the public four long years to figure out they were lied to.
Now if Bush would just quit speaking in public and giving me more free material for my movie, I can get back to work and get it done. I've got four weeks left 'til completion."
Moore is a traitor, in my opinion. He compares mercenary arab terrorists to "minutemen" and hopes they are victorious!!!????!!!! He stated here that he sent "cameramen" into Iraq for a seditious purpose: To lower moral and bring back "footage" for a new movie. Considering how full of lies "bowling" was, this "movie" will not be any better. Moore could care less for the lives of the soldiers you SAY you support. He could care less for the US Constitution, unless he is hiding behind it. He cares for nothing but another profitmaking deal to line his fat pockets.
I cannot, and will not support an effort to spread his filth, lies, and passionate praise for those who seek our destruction to my fellow soldiers.
Yours In Service,

They should send that piece of #$&* , Michael Moore, to our very nice prison facility in Cuba, where he would feel more at home, with his comrades in arms, his freedom fighters for Islam and Iraq, his religion of(so call)peace. It would be the right thing to do for someone that insane.

Oh this is great. I have a huge collection of books and I am about to move to the mountains and need to get rid of many of them. I can't think of a better place to "unload" them, and trust me, there are no copies of "Lying history" or Michael Moore among them!
