An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but can an orange a day keep the constipation at bay? A woman on Instagram claimed in a viral video that eating an entire orange — peel included — can cure constipation in just minutes.
The video, originally posted in Dec. 2022, has just recently gone viral after she reposted it in Dec. 2023, garnering a collective 23.6 million views.
Instagrammer @lilsipper shared her step-by-step “cure” for constipation, which involves washing the outside of the orange, slicing it into wedges, coating each slice with cinnamon and cayenne pepper “generously” and eating the entire thing including the peel. “Wait 5-10 minutes and the rest is history!” she wrote.

Two magnesium tablets a day and you’ll never be constipated again...
OR ..... A 44 oz. Dr. Pepper 🫑 ...
A simple glycerin suppository will solve the problem in no time.
Maybe order some of these...

Ain’t gonna’ help much if you got obstruction, or denervation, or cancer in your gut...people really be dingbats to take medical advice from any ol’ post on the net. 50% chance of clickbait anyway.
A colonoscopy prep kit might do the job.
Oh, you’re supposed to EAT it?
I swallowed it whole. It plugged me up and constipated me much. Couldn’t poop for 5 days.
Psyllium husk powder in vegan gelcaps. I get them on Amazon. 2 tablets twice a day. No clogging and no leaking. Good in general for digestion. It’s basically Metamucil without sugar and no need to mix it into juice. Just swallow ‘em down with a glass of water.
Like when a candidate for the football team was asked if he could pass a football, he allowed as he could - if he could manage to swallow it first.
Or eat a banana
McDonald’s sausage, cheese and egg McMuffin does it for me.
Just eat a banana
Some sugar free products contain sweet to the taste NONabsorbable sugars (sometimes called sugar alcohols) like Xylitol, sorbitol, or erythritol, or mannitol.
These aren’t absorbed and pull intestinal fluid along with them as they go down the GI tract. Leading to very loose stools. As soon as you feel the urge...go, baby, go....cause it’s coming out with or without you.
If the product has those ingredients... don’t eat much of it...or don’t chew many sticks of gum. I learned the hard(or rather SOFT) way.
With a Big Mac
Fleet enema works too. Of course you need to be able to reach, or have a very amiable assistant.
It’s the cayenne pepper, not the orange, that’s doing the trick.
😂
I love bananas!
I do have to watch my potassium intake a bit though.
Lots of older people take two 400mg magnesium oxide capsules or tablets every single day.
