New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he cannot separate his religious faith from his political leadership.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Adams was asked about his comments at an interfaith breakfast last week, where he said, “Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state. State is the body. Church is the heart. You take the heart out of the body, the body dies. I can’t separate my belief because I’m an elected official.” […]
Host Dana Bash asked Adams, “Do you fundamentally believe in the separation of church and state from a governing standpoint?”
“No, what I believe is that you cannot separate your faith,” Adams said.
“Government should not interfere with religion, and religion should not interfere with government. But I believe my faith pushes me forward on how I govern and the things that I do.”
Dana Bash said Adams’ words might “alarm some people.” …

Apparently, Adams’ “church” was a storefront church somewhere in Queens. He “identifies” as non-denominational Christian.

Although I disagree with Adam's governing style and with any democrat who professes to be a Christian - he was absolutely correct in saying one's faith cannot be separated from how a person perceives and judges. Dana Bash is a typical anti-Christian who ignorantly believes one's faith is ok within the confines of the church building but must be denied in all other venues. Dana and those like her are ignorant asses!
If he had any religious faith he wouldn’t be mayor he spends more time doing the night life than being a mayor.
