Anti-abortion activist is arrested after CLIMBING all 61 floors of the 1,070ft tall Salesforce Tower in San Francisco without a safety harness

An anti-abortion activist, who describes himself as the 'pro-life Spiderman', has been arrested after being spotted climbing the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco without a harness.

Police said witnesses alerted officers at around 9:21 a.m. on Tuesday to notify them that Madison DesChamps was gradually making his way up the the city's tallest tower.

Officers placed DesChamps in custody once he climbed 61 floors and reached the tower's roof. He appeared to only be wearing a hoodie, as several office workers inside the tower recorded footage of the climber reaching their floors without any climbing gear.

Multiple sources claim that DesChamps is an experienced rock climber and that he wanted to climb the tower to 'put a doctor behind bars,' as well as raise at least a million dollars for charities advocating against abortion rights, according to several news outlets.

The climb comes less than a day after the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade, which legalized abortion in the U.S. since 1973.

Streets in the surrounding area have been shut by police, who is also asking people to stay away from the building.

Throughout his journey to the top, DesChamps filmed himself on Instagram.

So...if he had a harness it would have been AOK? Wouldn't want to break any safety rules now would we.

98% chance he is NOT pro-life.
The number of pro-life people living in SF who have the skills to do this is as close to zero as you can get.

Did thousands of San Franciscans renounce abortion as a result of his stupendous feat?

Sloppy reporting. If only that were true.

The risk in that climb is not what I would call pro-life. Past floor 3 one slip and you’re pro-dead.

The climb also comes less than a day after the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade, which legalized abortion in the U.S. since 1973.

Good old Daily Mail. Saying stuff that isn't 100% true.

Amazing feat; I don't recommend it, but amazing nonetheless. I need him to change the oil in the Aeromotor.

"Uhh ... REALLY, Daily Mail?"

The Role of declaring Supreme Court decisions in the U.S falls to the news media in Brittan, the U.S. broadcast networks and cable news outlets have vowed to be prudent.

Here is how it will work:

When I was in the USN, we went to Alexandria, Egypt and I was able to go on a tour to the Pyramids in Cairo.

Back then (1978) you could still climb on the Pyramids, and I started to climb. I got perhaps four levels of stone up, and I know that doesn’t sound like much, but I felt like that was extremely dangerous. I have no doubt, if you slipped on those crumbly stones, you would be severely injured or killed in the fall.

LOL, almost as dangerous as the camel whose back I sat on, and jumped off because the guy wouldn’t let me down unless I paid more money.
