Hamas congratulates Taliban for ‘defeating’ US

In response to the Taliban re-conquest of Afghanistan, Hamas on Monday congratulated the Afghan people for “defeating” the US.

“We congratulate the Muslim Afghan people for the defeat of the American occupation on all Afghan lands, and we congratulate the Taliban movement and its brave leadership on this victory, which culminated its long struggle over the past 20 years,” Hamas said in a statement. “While Hamas wishes the Afghan Muslim people and its leadership success in achieving unity, stability and prosperity for Afghanistan and its people, it stresses that the demise of the American occupation and its allies proves that the resistance of the peoples, foremost of which is our struggling Palestinian people, will achieve victory.” […]

PLO Executive Committee member Ahmed Majdalani, on the other hand, scoffed at those who are celebrating the Taliban “victory.”

Yes, they defeated us.

And they were so good that they even got us to relinquish our Air Force Base so that we can’t evacuate personnel.

Brilliant tacticians for a bunch of rag tag terrorists...

Or maybe the people in charge in the US are just more stupid than the Taliban

I just had a Jimmy Carter flashback. The reason Reagan resonated with so many people was he brought back nationalism and self respect. Carter had utterly destroyed it.

And Biden turned it into a science.

No; the people running the USA right now aided the Taliban. To be defeated, you have to actually fight first.

The most illiterate Taliban commander is waaayyyyyyy smarter than the smartest Joint Chiefs....especially that “woke joke” Milley.

First it was Viet Cong who drove us out of Vietnam. Now it is the Taliban who kicked us out of Afghanistan. But we still maintain troops in South Korea & Germany. So all is not lost.

Nobody actually drove us out of anywhere. Our soft leadership ordered the troops out, never mind hobbled the troops while trying to fight the enemy, in both cases mentioned (including the third case of NK).

Why was the Taliban even left intact? and why wasn’t the way of life of the warlords destroyed too? Just because I know the answers to those questions does not mean I must conform in agreement.
