In one corner, we have Ivanka Trump and Attorney General William Barr. And in the other, we have Donald Trump Jr.
These are the two sides warring for Trump's favor in an ongoing debate over gun restrictions, Politico reports. Ivanka Trump's faction is reportedly looking for increased restrictions on gun sales and stronger background checks, while Donald Trump Jr.'s is warning him against it — but neither side seems to have curried the president's favor just yet.
As more and more mass shootings make headlines, and as gun violence continues to be an epidemic across the U.S., two sides have formed in the White House. Ivanka Trump and Attorney General William Barr both insist Trump can institute "expanded background checks for gun sales" and "win back moderate suburban voters in the process," people involved in the discussions tell Politico. Donald Trump Jr., along with a top aide to acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, meanwhile say Trump will lose his conservative base if he "pushes too aggressively on new gun control legislation," Politico reports. It has all amounted in absolute gridlock within the White House, with Trump reportedly staying mum on what side he prefers.

Some of these people, I think like Ivanka, have good intentions. But if saving lives is your objective, over the long haul, it is essential to preserve the 2nd amendment. An occasional mass shooting happens to be one of the prices you pay to have the ability to stand against tyrannical government leaders. The Rats are all but recruiting criminal aliens and placing guns in the hands of the mentally ill to create precisely the sentiment that Ivanka has.
I leave you with a quote from Aristotle: “Only an armed people can be truly free. Only and unarmed people can ever be enslaved.”
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro and several others learned that lesson well. I pray that Ivanka comes to truly understand very soon. She has a lot of influence with her father. You would think she wants her children to live free. If she gets her way, chances are they won’t if they stay in the US. Most of the rest of us don’t have the means to leave.

Leftist newspaper trying to create dissension among the party base knowing that the 2nd amendment is a hot button issue for most. Probably as honest as most leftist rags are these days, which of course is devoid of any honesty. They write what they think will drive a wedge in the support of President Trump, regardless what the truth really is, because they know that there are those among us who will believe that it is a factual piece.
I know. I would rather Don Jr. Be in Washington and Ivanka be taking care of her dad’s business. But if he wants her there, limit her.

I had a funny feeling she would be trying to push this on her father. I hope in this instance he doesn’t think about what she wants but rather he should rely on the Constitution.
“An occasional mass shooting” is NOT the price you pay for the 2nd Amendment. It’s the price you pay for raising several generations with absolutely no moral compass and virtually no understanding of, or appreciation for, their own national heritage.
