Sen. Kamala Harris pledged Sunday that she will pursue executive action on gun control measures if Congress fails to act in the first 100 days of her presidential administration.
Im proposing, one, that if by my 100th day in office when elected president of the United States, if the United States Congress fails to put a bill on my desk then Im prepared to take executive action because thats whats needed: action, Harris, a California Democrat and 2020 hopeful, said in an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper.
Harris had first articulated the plan at a CNN town hall in late April, but bought it up again Sunday on the heels of yet another school shooting, in which 18-year-old Kendrick Castillo was killed after rushing the gunman to save his classmates.
We are not waiting on tragedies and we are not waiting on good ideas, Harris said, pointing to the heroism of a child who we now mourn his loss, his parents only child.
When asked how she liked Sen. Cory Bookers (D-N.J.) proposal for a federal gun registry she answered, I like the idea. But, Jake, Im going to tell you, on the issue of the need for gun safety laws, were not at any loss for good ideas. People have been having good ideas for decades on this issue.
Booker is also vying for the White House.
Harris said that the country was waiting for Congress to act.
If she was forced to take executive action, Harris said she would require those who sell more than five guns a year to do background checks.
She would also have the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives take away licenses from gun dealers that dont follow the law.

How did she run ruin your career anyway?
Her first action would be to violate her oat to uphold the Constitution. Of course, any action to take away gun rights from law abiding citizens is a violation of the Constitution. Those of her type can go pound sand.
The root of the gang violence problem is the drug trafficking and the use of guns to protect the drug market. For those who don't understand marketing terms, the drug market is those who buy the drugs. That market is crucial for those making their drug profits. If another gang take control of the other gang's market, they loose profits. Street justice is the use of weapons as their only way to protect their market. It's the only way their retail sales members (pushers) can make those six figure (+) incomes.
Of course, corrupt politicians like Harris, benefit from the kick-backs from the wholesalers, which we know are the drug cartels. Corruption is the way the supply is guaranteed.
The gun issue is a diversion tactic from the real problem: the narcotics epidemic of users and those who make available those narcotics.
I met Bill Clinton in Oslo, Norway. We had pitchers of beer with his friends and he was the center of attention. He talked about how he had to go back home and settle with the draft board. He talked about Henry Kissinger and how dangerous he was. His mind was full of all kinds of conspiracies. I think he was involved with the massive protest demonstration at the Norway Capital building. It wanted Norway to get out of NATO and against the war in Vietnam. Clinton was a peacenic then.

I know a couple who was carjacked out of their own garage (classic car for sale + wife’s Corvette), marched into the woods and made to believe that they were going to die right there. Maybe this kind of thing should happen to Kamala Harris so she can know what it’s like to be defenseless against gangsta thug criminals with guns.
Executive action has to take place for her to safely take execution actions a Progressive milestone.
Kewel
Same peacenick used airpower to destroy a country and had a jet over New Jersey shot down...
Right...because she knows it's not.
Shocking.
And funny.
You need to make that statement to every police officer you know, they will be the ones trying to enforce, they will be the ones paying the butcher’s bill.
Cops should support us, but they won’t because all too many of them get off on the power of their badge and gun, forgetting that the power they crave is solely based upon respect which they have lost. IMO
