An Ohio youth basketball team was suspended for the remainder of its season for offensive terms on its jerseys, according to Evan Millward of ABC News 5 Cleveland.
The Kings Rec Basketball 7-12 team wore jerseys with the nickname "Wet Dream Team" on the front, and on the back of the jerseys, players had offensive terms such as "Knee Grow" and "Coon".
The team was playing its fourth game of the season at West Clermont Middle School when parents of the opposing team noticed what was on the jerseys. A representative from the West Clermont team spoke with officials before the start of the second quarter and the game was called, according to Chris Mayhew of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Neither team is associated with its local school district, but use school facilities for practices and games.

Those don’t look like 7-12 year olds?
White boys?
You kidding me?
Sounds like something jocks would do.
Is this a blind team, trolled by the uniform vendor, or a dumb team, coached by liberals?
Reported as grades 7-12 in other stories.
If they are that offended by persons different from themselves, basketball might not have been an appropriate sport for them to pursue.
Brilliant young minds at work here.. Wet dream team?!
Ok.. calling yourselves smegma.. Smrt!
Wiggers.
A bunch of giggling pimple faced adolescents playing around with, hee hee, silly naughty words. And the uniform vendors were poker faced.
So make them fix the garments. Out of their allowances. And write 100 times on the blackboard “No more dirty word pranks.”
A bunch of giggling pimple faced adolescents playing around with, hee hee, silly naughty words.That. And, coaches, parents, refs, and other league officials.
Nothing happened until their 4th game.
Defending their 1st Amendment rights on FR?
Still. Why can’t the black teams go around wearing “cracker” on their jerseys. Etc. Some people are so grim that a good laugh might be the only cure.
How were their 1st Amendment rights violated?
Where/when did I say their 1A rights were “violated”?
AFAIK, the printing or use of specific terms or words is not illegal anywhere in the US. Societal acceptability of the same is simply a local construct.
Where/when did I say their 1A rights were violated?
Fair enough. What did you mean in post 13?
7th to 12th grade, maybe...a team for kids who didn’t make the school teams.
Honestly, folks. It is offensive, regardless of race, color, or creed.
The only place I’ve seen the term “knee grow” is here in FR. I think that the team just might be influenced by some FR denizens having a little fun tweaking the collective noses of the locals; especially with the cooperation of the (obviously all-white) team members. I say, let’s check in on the melanin content of the complainers; bet they are all caucasian who are proxy-offended.
It seems to me that the uniforms were all in good fun and a fine exercise of the 1A.
