7 Mistakes Women Make with Men
PJ Media ^ | 12/20/17 | John Hawkins

Posted on 12/20/2017 2:19:13 PM PST by x1stcav

Women are complicated because they have: A) a layer of logic, B) laid across that a mood, and C) on top of that an ever-fluctuating stream of emotion. If men are like checkers, then women are like chess -- except the pieces are all kittens hopped up on catnip with broken glass taped to their paws.

I'm puzzled listening to my female friends tell me they don't understand men. This is like a rocket scientist telling you she can't figure out how a flush toilet works. Men are fairly simple; so how can we be so confusing to such comparatively complex creatures? How can women not already know these things?

1) Asking too many questions knowing the answer will always be: “I dunno....”

The other reason I’m the alpha when choosing/purchasing food is because I’m the one totally disciplined when it comes to eating healthy-there will be no processed food, only free range/grass fed meat, chemical free fresh fruit and veggies, only brown rice, no refined sugar or carbs, GMOs etc-I’m sure it is a real buzzkill sometimes for him, but he asked me to do it that way...

I know he sneaks stuff into his place during the workweek sometimes-I’ve busted him with brownies, cupcakes and even (gag!)sodas-if he likes to consume that crap sometimes, that is okay-but none of that at my place...

I’ve found most women run on one emotion more than all others

FEAR

I remember that we’ve discussed this a tiny bit before so I think (hope) you’ll be ok with this direction.

If I was telling a man what he could or could not eat, and he was okay with that, I don’t think I would be attracted to him for the long haul.

That’s just me, your mileage may vary.

I don’t tell him-I just do it my way and he can go along or not-that cowboy is not someone who lets anyone tell him to do anything-a stubborn deep South Scot is what he is-but a few months before I agreed to re-connect with him, his gall bladder blew up and he very nearly died-the cause was decades of dietary abuse-fried this, fried that, sugar, fast food, white flour, etc-the remains of the thing had to be peeled off other organs to remove it-sounded like a horror movie plot...

By the time we started dating again, he had gone to a nutritionist and committed to the healthy eating thing-he is honest enough to admit that one reason he chose me was because he knew I was brought up eating healthy and would not go off that path, knew I take no RX or illicit drugs and work out-and that he’d be motivated to maintain that lifestyle if he was with me, as well. I’ll keep managing the groceries as long as he wants me to-I want my man healthy and with me a long time-after all, I don’t want to hear that black widow s*** again...

But even with that explanation, it makes him sound a tad weak, like he needs a mommy taking care of basic life choices.

It sounds like it works great for you guys, so I’m not faulting you. Just sort of dissecting and parsing word meanings.

My ultra-traditional views of male/leaders + women/subservient as “best practice” probably also colors my take on things.

Well said with all due recognition of Mears

I’m old and I would venture boys are even more at risk than daughters in a home with no dad or genuine male authority figure

Probably that is so-I know I’m a little unconventional with my co-alpha equality philosophy. I also think a man’s biology and the way his brain works makes him more easily tempted-by his very nature-to things that are definitely not really in his best interest-look what happened with Eve and that apple.

Whether it is a slutty, available puta, a high dollar gadget laden truck he can’t afford or the scent of the deli-processed carbs like pasta with frankencheese, potatoes and meat breaded and fried in vegetable and tropical oil or sugar-suffused cake, I’m pretty sure a guy is more likely to yield to the temptation-and damn the consequences-than most women...

Of course men are more likely to give in to temptation. Women are the temptation. At least the only temptation that matters!

Yes-and I’ll bet she knew exactly what she was doing when she tempted Adam until he ate it, too-I’m quite certain most women always have ulterior motives-the women here at FR are an exception, of course...

What I'm saying is that you call it co-alpha equality, but in realty you're the one making the rules he has to follow.

In return, I'm positing that for me, a guy I have to make the rules for wouldn't hold my interest.

But to each his own. Always enjoy our discussions.

And they know perfectly well that a man can be dragged into just about anything not in his best interest with even the promise of sex...

At my age I require at least a minimum down payment - now when I was younger you would be absolutely correct.

Here’s my point on Eve and the apple.

Satan fooled her. She was trickable. “Too trusting yes, but then women usually are.”

Adam however realized it was wrong and did it anyway.

As do I-if we all thought exactly alike, this would be a very boring forum...

After all, one size does not fit all-goes for relationships, too.
