A 2016 report by a U.N.-affiliated group found that the United States's history of slavery and racial segregation warrants reparations for African Americans.
The United Nations' Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent concluded that “the legacy of colonial history, enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism and racial inequality in the United States remains a serious challenge, as there has been no real commitment to reparations and to truth and reconciliation for people of African descent.”
The group drew comparisons between lynchings of earlier decades and contemporary police killings. It recommended “urgent action” through “improving the reporting of violations involving the excessive use of force and extrajudicial killings by the police.”
This conclusion was reached after a fact-finding mission in Washington in January. The group's recommendations are non-binding, yet echo a similar call for reparations by a coalition of Caribbean nations, the main tenets of which the United States should adopt, according to the U.N. group.
“Past injustices and crimes against African Americans need to be addressed with reparatory justice,” the group declared in a statement. Reparations could take the form of “a formal apology, health initiatives, educational opportunities, an African knowledge programme, psychological rehabilitation, technology transfer and financial support, and debt cancellation.”
Awareness should also be raised through monuments, education, and memorials that are accompanied by “acts of reconciliation," the group detailed. This would work to counteract "the dangerous ideology of white supremacy [which] inhibits social cohesion amongst the United States population.”
First, we already are.... it’s called Snap and MA. How about we take what it costs us as a nation right out of our so-called UN dues?

Geez, not this again, we just established there were white slaves and black slaves and on average the black slaves, some who were owned by blacks, were treated significantly better than the white slaves.
So the UN can just pack sand all the up to the belt buckle as far as I’m concerned.
A direct ancestor fought and was wounded in the Civil War, fighting for the Union.

Maybe whites should be getting reparations at a rate of 10 dollars to every one dollar a black gets.
Or we could maybe forget about the entire thing since there is no one alive today that was a slave in America; at least not legally.
10 of 10 current Muslim slave owners agreed that the United States owes massive reparations because of the slavery they fought and died to eradicate!
For the love of God, can we get these people off our soil, out of our country, and out of our wallets? We should have absolutely nothing to do with these a$$ clowns. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Let the UN relocate to India, Somalia, Pakistan, anywhere out of our country, and out of our hemisphere.

Point of order. They did not invade the South to stamp out slavery. They invaded the South to stop it from gaining independence from Washington's control.
Lincoln fully intended to keep slavery when he sent the troops to stop the South's Independence movement.
One more reason to ‘seize for the security of the nation’, all that riverfront property that the UN occupies in NYC.
I agree that American blacks should get reparations.
So why aren’t they suing to have the Democrat Party — the party of slavery, Jim Crow and Segregations —shut down, liquidated and assets used to pay reparations?
