The Trump resistance can be best described in one adjective: female

It’s now been six dizzying and nauseating months since Donald Trump took the oath of office, and the brightest spot on the American political landscape is the grassroots resistance that has sprung up to counter his regime. No previous president ever faced so many protests so early in his term, and the millions who have taken to the streets since January can already take significant credit for stalling and frustrating key aspects of Trump’s agenda, from his Muslim ban to his bid to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

There are numerous qualities that distinguish this organizing upsurge from past waves of protest in the United States, but the most striking and significant is its composition: the resistance, by and large, is women.

The movement kicked off, of course, with massive Women’s Marches in more than 650 cities and towns across the United States the day after the inauguration, which together added up to the single largest day of protest in American history.

Women have anchored nearly every aspect of the resistance work since. Women made up a solid majority of those who marched on Washington time and again last spring: sociologist Dana Fisher found, for instance, that 54% of participants in the Peoples Climate March and 57% of those who attended DC’s March on Science were women. A March survey of phone calls to Congressional offices found an even more striking gender gap, with women constituting 86% of those making calls.

Women have taken the lead in using stronger resistance tactics since the inauguration, from blockading Trump Tower in support of immigrant rights to holding sit-ins against Trumpcare at Senate offices in Washington.

And women have spearheaded many of the most noteworthy creative actions to counter the broader Trump agenda in recent months.....

In each state that gave women the vote before the 19th Amendment, government began to grow. After the 19th Amendment, the federal government began to grow. Only under Harding and Coolidge was the growth kept in check.

Only married men living with the mother of their children should have the vote.

If I am not mistaken, the women’s vote also helped to bring in Prohibition, which helped to create a far more dangerous and violent culture in the urban areas with Al Capone, bathtub gin, gangsters, speakeasies, and related things. Not at all dissimilar from modern day movements regarding gun control.

Women who have been conditioned to believe that the government provides everything men used to provide, but better.

And women whose “protest” consists of dressing up as giant genitalia—presumably to demonstrate that they should not be considered human beings, and that whatever they have going on in their heads should be ignored—are scarcely making the point that women should be taken seriously on anything. On the contrary, they seem dead-set on convincing society that the “feminist” movement was a Bad Idea(tm).

That said, let us remember that the majority of women did *not* participate in the “women’s march” and do not shame themselves by dressing up as giant female genitalia.

The few female liberals that I know anything of these days still love both of them unconditionally.

The women’s vote was always a problem for the Republic. It started very small and ineffective at first because women did what it was charged that they would do, they voted as their husbands of fathers voted but it grew from there. Women have different biological needs from men. Men at predisposed to prefer freedom and women want security and protection for their children and themselves. As marriage disintegrated and husbands no longer provided that security for more and more women, more and more women voted for that security. They marry the government and vote accordingly. Freedom and independence is not a very large value for women in the aggregate. Single women vote heavily Democrat. Married women (white women, at least- those not raised to a welfare culture) vote Republican. Affluent college educated single women vote Democrat. No matter how independent they are they vote for a Husband.

Do Search on L.A. Kauffman?

Here is what you get:

http://berkeleyjournal.org/author/l-a-kauffman/

Berkeley Journal of Sociology

http://www.salon.com/writer/la_kauffman/

Salon

“L.A. Kauffman is completing a history of
American radicalism since the 1960s.”

https://www.jacobinmag.com/author/l-a-kauffman/

“L.A. Kauffman has been a grassroots strategist and movement journalist for more than thirty years. Her history of direct-action protest in the United States will be published by Verso Books next year.”

https://thebaffler.com/authors/l-kauffman

“L.A. Kauffman is a longtime grassroots organizer and strategist. She was the mobilizing coordinator for the massive antiwar marches of 2003 and 2004 and recently completed a history of direct action protest from the late 1960s onward.”

SO! >>

She has been promoting this crap since the 1960’s. She is a flaming leftie from Berkley and Salon crowd. The “movement” is what she dreams about. There are women like her, but most are certainly not. Of course she hates those women who are not radical lefties like her.

Someone please find a photo of her.

Dubious article, dubious source

LA Kauffman
LA Kauffman is a longtime grassroots organizer and author of Direct Action: Protest and the Reinvention of American Radicalism.

I would say there is an agenda driven opinion here. I’m always suspicious when the sins of the left aren’t juxtaposed with the sins of the right.

If I'm not mistaken, its not “ Trump's agenda”’that was elected, it was the agenda selected by almost 63 million voters in a majority of every state and county in the USA except the urban areas of NY and California

It Is no “ bright spot”’in American politics to witness the vulgarization of female activism and the coalition of losers and violent anarchists denying the American voters what they voted for with the active or passive compliance of a historically out of touch do- nothing Congress and a seditious column of corporate-owned media

Been noticing as of late that women seem so angry and self centered. Seem to care only about themselves and always wanting more.
This is especially highlighted at the grocery store, gym and pool where there is absolutely zero consideration for anyone else.
At The Gym:
No cell phone use, on the cell phone
Shower b4 entering pool, don’t shower.
Quiet in stem and sauna, dont shut up.

ON the high ways its a serious and dangerous problem.
Raising kids forget about it. Many are not raising good people, they are molding kids to be like them and themselves and that is NOT good.

OK I am done
