The allegation has been made (and of course denied) that Macron is hiding funds in offshore accounts. Documents have been posted (real, fake?—no clue) alleging to prove this.
Presumably hackers wanted to show how the Macron campaign was reacting to these allegations.
But, in the end, French voters will make their normal decision—surrender to Merkel and the European Union. :-(
Apparently the French media is not allowed to comment on the election up to forty eight hours before the election. This is a perfect example of how what appears to be a sensible reform could turn on its creators and have exactly the opposite effect.
Since French voters can’t learn anything of interest from their mass media they have no alternative but to seek news from the Internet—99.99% of which is not under French government control.
While Macron would have wanted his MSM lackeys to build a “bodyguard of lies” around him in the last two days they are unavailable for duty!
So what does the French establishment do next time?—turn off the Internet in the country for two days prior to the election?
