What could go wrong when you have a team being trained by the fearsome "Couch Lovie"?

In over 45 years, only two coaches have brught the Bears to a Super Bowl. Lovie Smith was one of them.
Years ago, teh bears got rid of Jack Pardee, who went over to the Redskins, and brought them to the Super Bowl and won it.
Maybe the problem is the Bears themselves, not the Head Coach.
For starters, the front office can stop trying to prove they can win with modestly talented quarterbacks. They did it once with McMahon. The Ravens did it with Dilfer. Most teams need someone better. Certainly better than Jay Cutler, whom the Broncos were rightly happy to dump.

As a Cleveland fan, we’d take those stats in a heartbeat.
How soon can he start?

Jack Pardee. There’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. I remember when he was the head coach of the USFL’s Houston Gamblers and Jim Kelly was the QB.

Pardee did not coach the Redskins to the Super Bowl.

Hey, you can't ruin my mood. I just watched my team, The Seattle Seahawks, win today and they will be one of the Wild Card Teams. You may not be at all impressed, but, believe me it has been a while since we had a decent team in football.
Terrific rookie QB this year who is all of 5'10". Lots of hustle, though. I will give you some sympathy as I grew up in the Chicago area and know the agony of being a Bears (and Cubs) fan.

and Jim Kelly was the QBJim Kelly. Only QB to go to FOUR consecutive Super Bowls. A record that will never be broken. Would have been nice if he won one.

Gee...I dont think its legal to fire a black coach. As I posted on my FB page to my friends, "Any other coach with those statistics would've been fired 4-5 years ago."
They all knew I didn't have to say "white coach."
Funny how that works.

The only redeeming thing in watching the Bears not make the playoffs was the hope this would mean Lovie’s release.
Te real head-scratcher was during ESPN’s NFL coverage this morning they went through a whole list of head coaches who are on the chopping block. They didn’t mention Lovie. What the heck??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_desvAWSls I came across a USFL game on YouTube where Kelly QB’d Houston against the San Antonio Gunslingers. Perhaps oddly, that the Gunslingers were owned by a liberal oil tycoon.
