WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, seen as a possible Republican presidential candidate, has paid tens of thousands of dollars for foreign policy advice to a U.S. firm that represents three overseas governments, campaign finance documents show.
While legal, the advisers work as an agent for other countries raises questions about whether Palin is receiving impartial information about foreign relations and could be become a subject of debate if she runs for president or another elected office.
Financial reports filed by the former Alaska governors fundraising committee known as SarahPAC, show that between December 2009 and the end of May 2010, it made seven payments to Orion Strategies.
The firm is a Washington consulting firm founded and led by Randy Scheunemann, a lobbyist who served as a senior foreign policy adviser to John McCain in his 2008 U.S. presidential bid and to Palin when she became McCains Republican running mate.
Controversy over campaign advisers who work as lobbyists for foreign or domestic interests can often blight national political campaigns. At least five of McCains aides quit his presidential campaign because of their lobbying activities.

You mean like JFK, Obama, LBJ and Truman quitting the Senate?
-—”Palin is a quitter.”-—
Clearly, the right thing to do would have been to let the Democrats run the state into the ground for the sake of her vanity.
Cause you know, THEN you haters would be supporting her (sarcasm intended).
You’re not worthy to judge who’s worthy, BTW.
Sen. Dole actually did the honorable thing and stepped down from his Senate seat to run for president.
Never ever post to me again you troll. You belong in a Rubber Room.
You haz a smelz!
Then you make the same point.
LOL. Hear! Hear!
Hey, I'm not the one telling the world I want to expose her, you are (see pissant post 146) .
The only thing I want to do is vote for her for president.
You still haven't answer my question about when you think about exposing her, that's kind of a classic evasive maneuver of somebody with something rather weird to hide.
FGS. Quit posting your nonsense to me. I am not interesting in anything you spew. Back Romney again and do it openly here.
I don’t know who is more obsessed with trashing Sarah. You, or Katie and Tina. I realize the agenda of the MSM. But you seem to be attempting to upstage them. And, not unlike them, you continue to fail.
Recall what the General told “the Joker” in the scene with mass graves? He said, paraphrased, “son, it’s time to get on board.” IOWs, you can’t fight this, since the train has already left the station.
Does being a hairdresser have a deep meaning to you?
Are you seriously putting that forward as a legitimate argument? They quit because they were elected to higher office - as many Republicans also did.
Palin quit because (1) She couldn't take the heat, and also because (2) she saw the opportunity to make more money. As far as (2) goes, that's the American way. More power to her, as goes the cliche. As far as (1) goes, we need to keep looking for a better candidate.
By all means, vote away. If you remain unconvinced she is a populist, finger in the wind politician, that will be your burden.
The train will be wrecking far short of the presidency.
Hillbuzz wrote about the ‘males’ who trash Sarah...
What do you mean “we” paleface?
Oh woe with me, another cross to bare.
You are full of it.
Support Romney OPENLY on this forum.
‘bout as much as dogcatcher. Which the average one is apparently smarter than the average cultist.
We who are actually capable of thinking.
Nope. You see, like those in the MSM, you are in denial of the influence of the Tea Party.
However, I do agree that Sarah must overcome the rejections of the RNC. If she can overcome this challenge, a work in progress as we write, then we conservatives will take care of the rest, to celebrate the safe arrival of the train at Union Station.
