Palin adviser worked for foreign governments

WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, seen as a possible Republican presidential candidate, has paid tens of thousands of dollars for foreign policy advice to a U.S. firm that represents three overseas governments, campaign finance documents show.

While legal, the adviser’s work as an agent for other countries raises questions about whether Palin is receiving impartial information about foreign relations and could be become a subject of debate if she runs for president or another elected office.

Financial reports filed by the former Alaska governor’s fundraising committee known as SarahPAC, show that between December 2009 and the end of May 2010, it made seven payments to Orion Strategies.

The firm is a Washington consulting firm founded and led by Randy Scheunemann, a lobbyist who served as a senior foreign policy adviser to John McCain in his 2008 U.S. presidential bid and to Palin when she became McCain’s Republican running mate.

Controversy over campaign advisers who work as lobbyists for foreign or domestic interests can often blight national political campaigns. At least five of McCain’s aides quit his presidential campaign because of their lobbying activities.

Scheunemann is a dangerous guy.

If he’d had his way, we Georgia would be part of NATO and we would have gone to war with Russia over the Ossetia dustup.

He, Kristol, and the whole lot touting “national greatness conservatism” are exactly wrong on foreign policy, IMO.

Of course not. The VP doesn’t talk in those ads at the end. At least that I’ve ever seen. Did you read the Univision interview she gave at the same time the ads were airing?

here’s what conservative M. Malkin had to say about Palin’s performance: “We’re Screwed”.

http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/23/open-borders-mccain-advisor-juan-hernandez-approves/

Here’s what conservative Mark Kirkorian had to say about Palin’s shamnesty.

Now, it was obvious, as McCain’s running mate, she had to toe the McCain line. But which McCain line? After the campaign’s near-death experience, McCain took to talking about “border security first” — which he qualifies out of existence whenever he’s pressed on it, but at least the rhetoric was there. What Palin’s response shows is that, first, she’s completely open to whatever kool-aid they want her to drink — i.e., she has no innate resistance to amnesty for illegals that would cause her to look for less-unappealing ways of saying what the campaign wants her to say. And second, it shows what the campaign is telling her about McCain’s views on the issue — if McCain’s talk of “border security first” were anything but boob bait for Bubba, his operatives would have made it clear that Palin was supposed to include that in her discussion of immigration, but she didn’t even make a passing reference to it.

You miss the point:

John McCain (who supports amnesty, or certainly did) was a presidential candidate

Michael Douglas once played the president in a movie (”The American President”)

Michael Douglas was in a movie with Demi Moore (”Disclosure”).

Demi Moore was in a movie with Kevin Bacon (”A Few Good Men”)

Kevin Bacon supports Amnesty and knows who Sarah Palin is.

VOILA! Sarah Palin must support Amnesty.

Hey pissant, how many hours a week do you spend attacking Sarah Palin? When is your next opus? Are you going to leave for more than 1 day for your next opus. And why do you disregard direct instructions.

If you think McCain-Kennedy wasn’t amnesty, then you have no business discussing politics, much less trying to convince anyone of your ‘knowledge’. You ain’t got none.

It’s a real laugher for certain and very illustrative of the poster’s mental illness when it comes to anything Sarah Palin.

It’s truly time for him to take a leave of absence from Sarha Palin threads.

Don't think I ever said McCain - Kennedy wasn't in fact amnesty. Reading for comprehension is a life changing experience. Why don't you try it.

I can take him or leave him. I still am in support of knocking off Iraq as well as the Taliban. Some of the stuff from the New American Century was fine, some was over the top.

But what’s funny is Palin spending $90K of folk’s hard earned SarahPac donations to hire the guy. Wonder what she pays for economic advice?

Very few. But it seems every time a semi-negative article on Palin is posted, the swarms of cultists want to chat with me.

Palin is not going to run. She knows that if she ran, she would get clobbered. You see, she, like all presidential candidates, has to capture the independents in the middle in order to win. There is no way she can do this.

There are exactly two chances of her becoming president: Slim and none. And Slim (thankfully) just died on the operating table.

However, she can't say so or her $$$ would dry up, and that's really what it's all about.

Well there you go, isn't a brief touch of sanity a wonderful thing. You'll eventually get the hang of it.

You should worry about your Romneycare and how your endorsements are worthless and not Sarah Palin.
