No Giuliani, No McCain
Petition Online ^

To: The Republican Party
I am a Christian conservative or social conservative. I am Pro-Life. I vote.
Rudy Giuliani is pro-gay, pro-gun control, and pro-abortion.
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Senator John McCain has waffled on human cloning, has supported experimentation on human embryos, and has attacked prominent Christian clergy because of the, "evil influence that they exercise." John McCain has said of Pro-Life voters, on a public broadcast radio show, that they are, "otherwise intelligent people who say that that's the only issue that will determine their vote." McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade."
For these reasons and others, I state very firmly that I will not vote for John McCain for President of the United States under any circumstances.
Sincerely,

[...he is a consistent conservative. No one has given me a good reason to dislike him.]
McCain is not a conservative.
He twice sabotaged efforts to get strict-constructionist judges even brought to a vote on the floor.
He lobbied against flatter tax rates and other fiscally conservative policies.
He has repeatedly supported ever increasing and more intrusive government regulation of businesses, large and small.
He joined the Democrats in severely limiting necessary and legitimate powers our military needs to gather foreign intelligence and use it to defeat militant Jihadists.
He accused members of our military, individually and collectively, of committing atrocities and war crimes when there was no evidence that such actions occurred and has not retracted any of his statements even after evidence has shown otherwise.
He was the main author and lobbyist for CFR, which is a gross infringement on freedom of speech, and which, for all practical purposes, makes it illegal for individual citizens to join together and pool their resources to more effectively criticize politicians or advocate for or against public policy.
Why would I vote for a candidate like that? Because he has an "R" by his name?

Bob Barr just jumped to the Libertarian party.. This is the kind of thing that upsets me.. instead of fixing our own house, we just let it fall around us and watch from the sidelines (ie, 3rd party)..
Effective change comes from the inside...

Being told I should take what I can get and vote for McCain is like being told by a used car salesman that I should buy the 1975 Pinto with the rotted floorboards, rusty doors and fenders, smashed up bumpers and blown motor and transmission simply because it's better to buy a Ford than the Yugo sitting next to it. I'm not going to buy either one because I'm smart enough to know I'm going to end up walking no matter what.

Your silly petition is useless and worthless. In case you haven't noticed, we have PRIMARY ELECTIONS in this country.

Duncan Hunter is a good man, and a good conservative, but from a strict marketing perspective, not a chance in h*** Unless he saves a drowning baby at the same time building a fence on the border by himself and personally catching Osama.. all in front of 100 TV cameras..
Now, I've seen stranger things happen in politics.. so you never know... the primaries are a LONG way off...

Good evening.
"The problem with Rudy making it to the primaries is that every RAT in the nation will crossover and vote for him."
There are too many problems with Giuliani to list and it's almost bedtime anyway.
This gun owner will never vote for Rudi OR John. We have more than a year to find a candidate who isn't a DemocRAT in Republican clothing.
G'night, all.

. Their yards are neat, their kids fed, AND they are a vindictive cult. That's just my real life experience multiplied innumerable times. So if Mormons were slobs who starved their kids you might like them better?
