You saw my notice-boards. Your duty? Curse your impudence, sir. Your duty was to keep off my grounds. Talk of duty to me! Why - why - why, ye misbegotten poacher, ye'll be teaching me my A B C next! Roarin' like a bull in the bushes down there! Boys? Boys? Boys? Keep your boys at home, then! I'm not responsible for your boys! But I don't believe it - I don't believe a word of it. Ye've a furtive look in your eye - a furtive, sneakin', poachin' look in your eye, that 'ud ruin the reputation of an archangel! Don't attempt to deny it! Ye have! A sergeant? More shame on you, then, an' the worst bargain Her Majesty ever made! A sergeant, to run about the country poachin' - on your pension! Damnable! Oh, damnable!message rcvd. will comply.

Maybe all those who were calling him a drunk can lead the way.

Science is not a democracy.
But the skewed evidence that is portrayed to the ignorant masses is a political event.

Don't make me write another vanity.
One other issue this brings up is how one enforces penalties against those who commit scientific fraud--of which politicization is one example...Global warming, anyone?
What I fear most is since most people misunderstand and consequently somewhat mistrust science, the populist support for science is shaky at best. If enough scandals about the 'inviolate, sacrosanct' nature of science come to light, the general public may write science off as mere hogwash or propaganda. Which would be a pity because science was developed in order to get at things *in spite of* possible biases. And of course, one other side effect of such a development would be the loss of funding for science.
Cheers!

Maybe all those who were calling him a drunk can lead the way. interesting proposition. let's examine the balance, shall we? let's see, now...
on one plate of the scale, we have a few iterations of allegations of PWI;
on the other plate, we have: vitriolic, vapid, retread, leftist, etc... repeated ad nauseam
no. the proposal, while interesting, lacks merit in the balance.

I don't know, I've never kippled.Be thankful you didn't have a near deaf Dutch Aunt who was so fond of Rudyard that she'd read him to you in her thunderous voice as a bedtime story - thus giving you the medical condition known in Holland as kippered herring.
Oh yes. Be thankful.

Modern biology is based on evolutionary principles. You don't hear credible scientists say "oh well, that is what the lord designed the DNA. Lets not make him angry by analyzing the sequences." You may be interested in knowing that both Watson & Crick who won the the Nobel prize for their work in elucidating the DNA molecule did in fact believe that the DNA molecule was designed and did not come about by random chance.
