There's nothing wrong with being big and voluptuous. It's our modern age and modern media who have made it a sin.AMEN !!! For many, it's a hereditary survival thing. Our ancestors got through tough winters and other times of need by the ability to store energy.
I've said from day one Katherine is "big bodied", not meaning it as an insult.
It's a caveman thing, I think. Lots of guys are instinctively drawn to women who could thrive as caregivers for the family....even in tough times. They just can't help going nutty over those big body parts.

I didn't see that post, but we both know that some folks think that just because some prefer Taylor over Kat then Taylor fans must hate Kat. I don't hate her either.
She's never been one of my favorites, but she's a talented and beautiful woman. Win or lose, she has a huge career in front of her.

I saw your original post regarding the USA Today interview. The fact is that all the people in the final top eight have and will receive career boosts from their AI appearances. As to that interview deciding who is the "rightful" winner, I don't know.......

Idol could do worse, but I think she is a long way from "greatest female artist of all time". That is a pretty amazing list... think Cyndi Lauper, Aretha, Celine Dion, Elton John...Did you include Elton John in a list of greatest female artists of all time?
To: Palladin
Is it true that Kat will sing "Climb Every Mountain"? I'll be appreciative of the mute button if so.
To: maggief
Wasn't Clay supposedly in some hotel room with a gay boyfriend, or did that turn out to be a nasty rumor?
To: SirLinksalot
Elliott Yamin will be performing with the lovely and talented Mary J. Blige on Wednesday's finale. Apparently debunked, however. They'll probably just let him clean up after the show instead of actually singing. Or put him in a huge group at the back and let him help with the backup vocals.

From mj's blog:
Some Nebulous Rumors According to this al.com article, besides singing the coronation songs, Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks will be reprising two songs from earlier in the season. However, there's a rumor that Randy Jackson has stated in an XM Satellite Radio broadcast that each contestant has the option of singing a new song of their choosing.
This blog reports that "the two kids have been given a choice to sing a.) either two songs previously performed and judged between the round of 12 through the round of 4 (disqualifying final 3 and semi-final round songs) or b.) they can sing one previous number and a new, not-yet-performed one, if they choose." No source for this rumor has surfaced.
Also, it's reported that two very reliable americanidol.com message board posters are claiming that Taylor Hicks was rehearsing the Ray Charles tune "Georgia" over the weekend. "Georgia" is considered one of Taylor's signature songs. If you haven't heard Taylor's studio version of this song, you must It's fabulous. Taylor performing this song in the finals would please the Soul Patrol very much. But right now, that song choice is still a rumor.
There are rumors that Katharine McPhee's song choices are "Over the Rainbow" and "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and were announced on LA's Good Day Live this morning. This rumor is unsubstantiated at this time.

Actually, I do find it indicative, if not in actual number of fans, at least the depth of interest and passion for the guy. Which makes laughable the claim he won't have a successful post-Idol career. Let's see: he's in the finals, previous independent CD selling like hotcakes, regular mentions on SNL and the Tonight Show, most popular current Idol on the 'net, etc.

Simon Cowell added If we had our way, we would bring him back, and then we would say to one of the finalist next week that it was a joke, youre not in the final. Cowell is a despicable man.

Can you tell me where you got this figures from ? It was posted at MJ's blog! So, yes, it was INACCURATE! :) My mistake in trusting that site! LOL

Can't wait to hear Taylor sing Georgia, also the name of my very favorite country to visit, btw. See pics on my FR page...
Gag, barf, those are my two least favorite songs of Kat's and I will be sure to have the mute button handy or make time to do something in another room while she sings them.
I have actually liked a few of her songs, the one she did when Simon told her she made all the rest look like amateurs was very good and she even had that smile off her face for awhile during it.
Not up to seeing the floor rolls again either. What was this show about again?
