Chris and his wife were on Fox News this afternoon, on the studio audience show. He was very personable, didn't seem "arrogant and full of himself" as he's been accused of being by "insiders" on the show. I'll buy his CD when it comes out.

Time's up. I've done all I can. Now it's up to the left coast to keep Taylor and Elliot in...fingers crossed.

The only thing that ever hurt his vote total was when he listened to Simon and did tone it down. Good thing he got over that silly notion! :)

Chris Daughtry: It's OK
After the disappointment fades, Chris tells TEEN PEOPLE his elimination could be for the best

by Jim Brogan
May 16, 2006
Chris Daughtry, the ousted American Idol hopeful appeared on Regis & Kelly live yesterday and appeared on Fox and Friends this morning. Fans and some U.S. radio stations are demanding Fox TV bring back the rocker for a new vote.
The Web site, TheDaughtryGang.com, is circulating petitions that echo the problems with the talent competition's voting phone lines after Tuesday night's show and warrants a recount of the votes, The Los Angeles Times reported.
So far, more than 50,000 signatures have been gathered on a petition posted at ThePetitionSite.com, The Times also said.
Daughtry was a guest of Steve, E.D. and Brian this morning and the reiterated the fact that most of the free world was shocked by Chris' untimely exit. Brian called it "the biggest shock in Idol history." Chris graciously responded that he would take that.
Steve asked Chris what he thought about the conspiracy theories that have cropped up about busy signals and wrong numbers. Daughtry simply responded that he's trying not focus on that and that he's trying to move on. He said that while he was devastated that night, he's also accepted his new beginning. Chris said he's not trying to buy into any rumors because he just doesn't know if there is any truth to them. He did say he appreciated the support and for the fans standing up for him but he wasn't there and he doesn't know what these people did or did not hear.
On the rumor he was ushered off the show because he signed a deal prior to his departure - Daughtry insists that simply isn't true. He did, however, confirm that he has had a formal offer from the band "Fuel' but is still undecided on what to do. He also indicated that he had talked to 'Fuel' before the show because they had wanted him to know that they appreciated his rendition of 'Hemorrhage' and they did casually mention they were looking for a singer. Chris said that they knew there was nothing he could do because of the show and all.
Chris was asked once again whether or not he intends to accept the 'Fuel' offer and he gave his now canned response of "I want to consider everything right now." E.D. Hill was kind enough to remind Chris that Rob Thomas, of Matchbox 20 fame said he should say no and wondered whether or not his opinion carried any weight. Chris's answer was "he did didn't he?..he's amazing."
The crew threw around some other options such as Wings and Van Halen, to which Chris quipped "Did they call?"
Whatever Chris decides, it will be because it's what is "best for his family" and we wish him nothing but the best.
IMO Chris should STAY AWAY from the band FUEL. There will be better offers than the FUEL offer.

How long can you vote on the right coast?
To: gopheraj
I love his dorky moves.Really? I'll have to think about that. I avert my eyes when he comes on....imo, he looks like he's stomping on cockroaches. Or playing the part of the monster from the deep in a horror movie.
I've tried to like him cuz everyone else seems to think he rocks, but try as I may...........

That chart shows Taylor pulling WAAAAAY ahead.
I hope 19E is taking notice that there are alot of people out there who are obviously hungry for something different!
