Found this pic at another site. I probably shouldn't post it but well..... it just seems to fit for last night!

You're right, that will make good material for another SNL.

Jonny, Toni Braxton was HORRIBLE last night. Taylor carried that entire performance, which just shows what a pro he really is. On another board a reviewer said she was drunk. Don't know if she was or not, but man there are no words to do justice to how bad her performance was last night.

I would like to hear from the AI execs or the judges what they thought of last nights show. I would think Simon must have been astounded at how poorly the pros did.

I want to just thank you for hosting this thread. We got "into" AI last year late and started fresh this year. So glad we did. Hubby and I both whoo hooed when Taylor was announced. We were hoping no shenanigans would happen and WHOEVER got the most votes won. We weren't disappointed.

If I aint on yor list, plese put me on it! ;)

Oh my goodness, I think the mother really wants to be Kat.

I think so too. Kinda sad (and more than a little disturbing :o)

That's the same expression Justin had when he lost to Kelly--LOL!

LOL! Sure is. I see he's growing his 'fro out again. If he was smart, he'd have his hair straightened (assuming it really is naturally curly like that) and styled in a way that flattered his features more.

Speaking of flattering one's features, Clay looked awful in that hair style. He sounded awful here and there in the song, also. Good thing he wasn't there to be judged. (Before Clay fans get all weirded out, I have always liked him and thought he should have won AI2. Just calling it like I saw and heard it.)

Seacrest's worldly wise expressions are so funny.

I agree. if she wasn't drunk, she was "on" something. You could tell when she laid her head back. Why in the world do people do that crap to themselves?! They have it all and they start screwing themselves up (like Whitney Houston) I guess they thin that with all the money they have that they can do whatever the heck they want - even if it screws up someone elses day.

I would think Simon must have been astounded at how poorly the pros did.

Awful. Most of the pros were has-beens from another era trying to sell new albums and/or re-ignite their careers. I may be the unusual one around here who did not like seeing the show turned into a vehicle to pimp all these peoples' latest ventures. I like it better the first three seasons, when it was more purely about the contestants.

I guess maybe I'm still annoyed about the relatively short winning moment celebration they had -- at least as I saw it here.

If she wants to do that to herself and isn't harming anyone else, I say, whatever. But don't show up that way on national TV and ruin the moment for one of the finalists, who gets stuck having to carry you through the performance.

There was confetti! Didn't they show it on the east coast?

I did enjoy seeing Dionne Warwick, BUT, at 66, I think she has troible hitting certain notes. I wouldn't have thought that they were so desperate for acts that they would have to resort to some of the people they had on. Surely they could have done better than that.

Remember how celebs used to line up to get on The Muppet Show? I would think AI would be the same way.

I don't live on the east coast. I understand the show ran overtime. Where I live, they cut away to the local news exactly at 10:00pm.
