I really like Sandra Bullock. As long as I don't know her politics (either way), I'll be happy.

Sorry, when you lose, you leave!

I agree. It was his moment, short as it was.

I like Sandra Bullock too... and to think she married that Jesse James guy from Monster Garage when she could have had me!

I have the Back to the Future record. :)

An actual record!? That's old school :)

I bought the BTTF soundtrack twice--both times on cassette. I played my first copy so much it finally broke :)

I'm just pleased that so many talened young people will be receiving such exciting opportunities. I think that's the appeal of the show for me. I love seeing these young men and women coming from all parts of the USA, and the positive change it brings to their lives.

Totally agree. Plus getting to vote for them as they are winnowed down.

LOL! Poor Rocket. I guess Sandra doesn't know what she's missing. ;-)

Yes the actual record, because then it was cool to own the records. LOL... You were mainly getting it for the jacket. And the really good records would have the free pinups for your wall. ;)

I can't find the post, but I think it was you that noticed Taylor pulling his hand away from Toni Braxton.

TVgasm noticed it too:

Ho Patrol

It's mildly appropriate that we transition from Rhonetta to Taylor singing, "In the Ghetto." He's joined by Toni Braxton, who looks like she and Rhonetta might actually shop in the same place. She's essentially wearing a nightie on stage, and the low angle camera comes dangerously close to seeing right up her skirt. On top of that, she seems full of all sorts of sexual energy, and at one point, she actually grabs Taylor's hand, places it on her hip, and then makes him caress her. TONI! This is a family show! A family show that just profiled a prostitute, but a family show all he same!

I came to the thread late, but I do thank you jonny for all your work.

Thank you :)

Don't think of it as being late--you just arrived early for the 2007 threads :)

I watched it on youtube a couple hours ago. You would think I had nothing to do.

Toni Braxton provided some good parody material for the next SNL sketch. I can see the duet now. She's chasing him all around the stage while he ad libs what he'd like to sing:

Toni, don't you understand
I don't want your helping hand
This won't work in Birmingham any day

Wooooooo! Soul Control!

Songwriter wannabes, have fun and add more lyrics.

Yes, Kellie's new do is great, very flattering, not "country" at all. Good for her. :)

Jonny, Toni Braxton was HORRIBLE last night. Taylor carried that entire performance, which just shows what a pro he really is. On another board a reviewer said she was drunk. Don't know if she was or not, but man there are no words to do justice to how bad her performance was last night.
