Date-rape drug allegation in Duke case

The exotic dancer who accused members of the Duke University lacrosse team of raping her at a party may have been slipped a date-rape drug, according to an interview with the second dancer in the May 1 issue of Newsweek that appeared on stands today.

Newsweek also reported that a defense attorney said some DNA evidence had been found under the accuser's fingernails, but that the first round of DNA testing - which did not incriminate any of the 46 players swabbed - was inconclusive about identity. Results from a second round of tests are expected this week.

The accuser, a 27-year-old black college student and mother, said she was raped and beaten by white students on March 13 after performing for them at a house party. Two lacrosse team members, Collin Finnerty, 19, of Garden City, and Reade Seligmann, 20, of Essex Fells, N.J., were charged Tuesday. Defense lawyers have maintained their clients' innocence, offering a detailed timeline and time-stamped photos from the party that they say throw the woman's story into doubt.

If there was any evidence of Crystal being drugged Nifong would have included that in the indictments. Surely tox screenings come back sooner than his never ending DNA test

Her ex-husband states she was inhibited about dancing.

When she auditioned for lap dancer she freaked out, hiding under a makeup counter. The stolen cab and running down a cop are incidental. ;oD

OK...I thought that strange too. However, stripper 2 never drank her drink. Stripper 1 drank it 'cause she spilled hers?

There is a report that Crystal was drinking or drugging with people before she arrived. Fox had the guy on and he said he talked to people who were with her before she went to the LAX house.

If the skank is falsely accusing men of raping her, how big a leap is it for her to claim the drugs in her system were given to her in a drink? She's already screwed up by ID'ing guys who have alibis.

The bathroom...rugs, towels...don't implicate the accused. None of her DNA was there, either.

Many Freepers discussed this discrepancey and Dukie07 believes that if the cabbie left Edens (12:41) and went straight back to 610, he would have been there before 12:53,

I think you all are probably right... there would have to be quite the chinese fire drill at the house from 12:53 to 1:07 for it not to be.....

The discrepancies just seem to make the cabbie a bit less credible... with the time and the white car...etc...

I don't buy it for a second. Where are you getting this "excessive thirst" idea from? Because she sounds like a few people I have known in my lifetime, they knock over their bevvie, so they start snarfing down someone elses. You make it seem as if she was desperately in need of something to drink, so she knocked over her drink because she was extremely parched, and then chugged down Kim's drink. (Gee, how about WATER??)

I think there is a much simpler explanation: it's called "drunk".

One young woman we know hit with a date rape drug was tested within hours, but they were not able to pin down exactly what it was.

That could be the case here.

So how's this for a scenario:

"someone" drugs Crystal

Reade Seligmann 6'1"220lbs and Conor Finnerty 6'3"175lbs and and unnamed third male(most likely 6' as well)and the 5'4" 150 lb Crystal all go to one bathroom

AV is orally(by the 200lb guy)vaginally by ? and anally (by the little 6'3"guy)raped (sorry for the bizarre visual)

Meanwhile Reade is making phone calls.

Crystal, although sedated, is madly fighting them off (but left her teeth at home?)

Does this even sound plausible?
