WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

I think that's a great question. I'd have no problem with two men attending the event together with kids. They could be father, son and grandchildren. Are they wearing multi-colored leis to make a political statement? As I see it, those trying to make a political statement at an event for children is bad behavior. Would you agree with that?

Childrens' functions should not be used as a political demonstration by homosexuals or anyone other special interest group. Indeed. That's the issue here.

That's why we have adults called grownups stand over them and protect them and teach them to grow up straight. Straight, as in "Johnny, that little boy Timmy over there, who is your friend, has two daddies. Did you know that? It's not normal to have two daddies.
"Johnny, you're normal because you have a mommy and a daddy. Timmy is not normal because he has two daddies."
Is that the way the monologue goes?

If a group of flat-earthers took their kids to the Egg Roll, and proclaimed that their participation was meant to show that the earth was flat, would that make the earth flat? No, but it would make the flat-earthers persona non grata and disinvited, for trying to jack the President's social occasion, and someone would have to explain it to them in a way that didn't jam the kids.
Are you listening, Torie?

Here's another verse from the same book:
Text 3
"The killer of the soul, whoever he may be, must enter into the planets known as the worlds of the faithless, full of darkness and ignorance."
I do not hate anyone personally. Hate means to wish ill on someone, to hope they suffer. I don't wish anyone ill; regarding homosexuals, I hope that they see the truth that they don't have to be "gay", or at the very least quit trying to propagandize their dysfunction as normal and natural. I also care about childrens' innocence and wellbeing.
It is important to see the difference between evil and good, and judge actions and speech accordingly. This is a novel idea to you? You think that to recognize the existence of evil and try to combat it is "hateful"?

push your disgusting sexual practices in everyone's face,Is there going to be sexual activity on the South Lawn? If there's not, how are the kids going to have sexual practices shoved in their faces?

Ya I think so, so long as ALL political gear was banned, including I love Bush lapels, but excluding the American flag.

In any event, the footage of the guards turning away two women with their kids, with the kids sobbing, will make great for a great TV experience. Who's the drama queen now?
Seems to me the Bush White House has mastered the art of not getting mugged by press cameras. Let them handle it.
You don't need to let in a bunch of political Leftists and Alinskyite Mau-Mau's, if they're going to hijack a social event and politicize it. Period.

It seems as though a number of people on this thread are pretending that those of us who are concerned about this hate homosexuals and want to prohibit any homosexuals from attending this event.
Isn't it funny how they've adopted the talking points of the radical homo movement so expertly?
Let me ask this: Who shows more compassion?
1.) The person who confirms and affirms someone in their dangerous, disgusting, soul-killing lifestyle choice and enables them to delude and destroy themselves more quickly by doing so.
Or...
2.) The person who attempts to lead an individual out of said dangerous, disgusting, soul-killing lifestyle?
Those who support "gay rights" causes do an enormous amount of harm to individuals struggling with same sex attraction. It's like buying an alcoholic a six-pack. I get far more angry at these enablers than I do those who suffer in the grip of the deathstyle.

Dear Mrs. Bush,
Two sodomites who have adopted a child in order to appear normal and remake that child in their own image are an abomination, not a "family."

Amazing that those 6-8 posters always find you on these threads, too.
No, not always. But I try. You guys apparently have a lot more free time than I do.

It's a political move. Tell Sinky. He's not having any.
He still thinks it's a social event.
To: sinkspur
Kids' books have mentioned or noted throughout history that "family" means a mother and a father and one or more children.
Only recently have homosexuality promoting books been published like "Heather Has Two Mommies". Who is doing the propagandizing here? The tens of thousands of books with a mother and a father, or the few recent books promoting homosexual "families"?
Who is doing the shoving of agendas at children?
To: little jeremiah
That's what I get for not completely reading an article. I thought the title said 'Parents Line Up For White House Easter Egg Roll'.

What would you like them to do instead?
Change it from a random drawing to an invitation only event. Or cancel the thing.

The 2% of the population (more or less) who identify as homosexual (at any given time) would never have gotten the publicity and power they have now were it not for their enablers and assistants.

"Daddy, why are all these people wearing rainbow leis? Can we wear one, too?"
"Daddy, what does "gay" mean?"
"Daddy, what does, 'we're here, we're queer, get used to it' mean?"
What part of "event for kids" don't you understand? The idea that these people are trying to turn it into a propaganda session for their deviant lifestyle which is based entirely on their preferred sexual activities, is repugnant--or at least should be.

The lei scheme is definately political. People aren't dumb. Two men or two women holding hands and fawning over their children finding easter eggs will figure it out. It's weird. Want to be apart of society BUT want to separate and make apart also. That's my only complaint. Liberals love to throw cold water on children's fun. I'll bet they didn't consider that this may cause the egg roll to be cancelled. Otherwise, I don't care what gay people do except leave the institution of marriage alone. It's in bad enough shape already.

I think I have made my point of view rather cystal clear at this point. I tried to sail between the Scylla and Charybdis, to get to shore. I think I am there, in very good shape. Cheers.
