WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

Why not? They should no longer "live in the shadows," as Bush said about illegals.
Non-Breeders wanting to act like Breeders!
Sounds like a gay ol' time.
No only to we have to tolerate, not only do we have to acknowledge, but we have to approve and endorse or we are bigots.
Didn't they do this last year also .. and ended up ruining the easter egg hunt that is meant for children to have fun
This is so disgusting.
I'm so disappointed in the Bushes.
I think you are right or they at least caused some type of "scene".
Oh please ... they don't ask at at the door if you're gay or not
This is an event for children
Unfortunately .. there are some groups that tend to ruin the fun for the kids
Didn't florida push adoption laws that would restrict gays being parents down there.
We need more of those laws and the constitutional amendment against gay marraige.
The gay community got a huge break that katrina happened a week before labor day.
In New Orleans every labor day they have 100,000 gay rowdy nuts down there dressed like loons.
If that had been the public image of katrina that would have set back gays big time.
Hello ... I don't think you have to ask.
Tommy and John arrive with little Tyler. I don't know how you'd stop it. Maybe just allow military or NASCAR families (that's a joke, if you can comprehend and appreciate a joke.)
I'm still recently very disappointed in them with the border issue and Laura's pro-choice stand.
Try Miracle-Gro or Ortho.
I am too... My Bushes have not beem blumming as much this year as in those past :)~
I live in FL and I recall some talk of it... don't know if it passed or not.
I don't care what two consenting adults do, even if it disgusts me but dragging innocent kids into the mess is unforgivable.
They don't have to live in the shadows but I would prefer they didn't flaunt their team colors at events meant for CHILDREN. Why can't they just be "parents" among parents and leave the rainbow shirts at home.
Ask yourself what they can do. Much as anyone may disapprove, it's not illegal to be gay.
That's funny...
