WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets — an estimated 16,000 last year — are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

Ping to an absolutely insane thread. Apparently, the idea is to have the white house guards test for the gay gene at the gates, to bar them; with their kids just being unfortunate collateral damage. And that's why gays should not be allowed to adopt, and should have their kids taken away from them. Their kids won't be eligible to participate in the White House Easter Egg roll!
What would be the political consequence if the TV showed images of the White House trying to find out who was gay, and bar them and their kids from the event? Why don't you give THAT some thought.

I oppose the homosexualization of society as well. However, allowing homosexual parents with their kids into the White House Egg Roll is not homosexualizing anything. It is allowing kids to be with other kids and so they can have a good time too.
You and I disagree over the admission of these children to the Egg Roll. President Bush, as the president of all the people has done the right thing by not discriminating against these children.
That is my position, and I will now move along.
