WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

No one outside the gates yelled at us assumung we were lesbians, either.
Did you wear a rainbow sash or a tee-shirt declaring that you were a lesbian? That's what these morons are planning to do.
Come on, you're not so dense as to be oblivious to the fact that this is a political stunt using children as pawns. It's a disgrace.

Well, Dubya seems happy with her. It's more his business than ours, I suppose.

So, what are you afraid of, they'll start taking off their clothes and having sex on the White House Lawn? You're insane.

You're saying that 90% of the people on FR would agree with asking people what their sexual orientation is before obtaining tickets to the WH Easter Egg Hunt?

Politicizing a children's event. How sickening. What do you expect from a bunch of perverts?
This is what happens when the government recognizes people who practice a sexual fetish as a minority or special race of people.
Next it will be a forty or fifty year old man showing up with his seven year old boy "partner" or someone with their "live in" goat or german shepherd.
This once great country is being turned into a has been third world sewer by both parties and isn't far from falling / jumping off the edge into the "bottomless pit".

Well, I'm certainly against that. I hate seeing it at the abortion marches, on BOTH sides.

Are you or are you not outraged that these people are using their "accessory" children as pawns to promote their sexual/political agenda?

The purpose of this exercise IN FRONT OF CHILDREN is to force normal mothers and fathers to have to explain to the children "whats a 'gay' or 'lesbian' or 'homosexual'".
If "a" woman came with biological child and she did not say she was there on behalf of "the carpet muncher union" nobody would know or care. This is about in your face excitement for the deviants.
It just adds that homosexuals under no circumstance should be adopting children as a matter of strict social policy and law.

So you'd just rather tell someone they can't come to a government sponsored even because of their sexual orientation...just say it. So, we'll be passing out questionaires now? Have you now...or ever been...?

What are you, a poll question writer for Zogby?
Ask JR to take a poll of FR members using the following question:
Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents are planning to attend the White House Easter egg roll with their children wearing rainbow leis to identify their sexual orientation. How do you feel about this?
1.) Disgusted. Using your children as prop for your political agenda is stupid and wrong.
2.) Supportive. Gay families need to be recognized and affirmed in our society.
Any guesses as to what the result would be?

So the answer is to punish the children by not allowing them to attend the Easter Egg hunt because of the their parents lifestyle over which they (the children) have no control? That's not very nice to children who had no say in what environment they were brought up in. To me, what's "not very nice" is having the homosexual agenda inflicted on any children. Why can't this very small special interest group stay out of pushing their agenda (which most of us with children view as poison) at an innocent, traditional children's event? Just have 1 of the "mommies" or "daddies" bring their children. Let them keep their sex lives to themselves for once.
To: linda_22003
The difference is that at pro-life marches or demonstrations, the children are a natural result of a natural family.
Children "of" homosexuals are pawns 24/7.
To: Antoninus; jimrob; sinkspur
So what? So what if they wear rainbow leis? And the issue isn't whether I or you would be disgusted. Their are many things in this Country that disgust and offend me. Only liberals seek to deny people their rights because of what they "disagree" with. Why don't you ask Jim to ask THAT question of the forum?

Ah, but in the abortion marches, one side is pro-child (pro-life) so it is directly relevant that they bring their children. For most, it's a more a religious statement than a political one anyway. The other side is pro-death, anti-child and despises religion, so bringing children doesn't really enhance their message any, except to promote a lie. Life is not all relative, dear.
As for the homo-promo cheerleaders, their accessory kids are a ticket in the door to the White House Easter Egg roll. They wouldn't have a platform otherwise.
