Maybe if you informed yourself wholly on this issue, you wouldn't be making such insightfully stupid posts.

GOD help the WORLD, when anyone takes what Eternal Vigilance says at 1)factual 2) "reasonable 3) true.

Figures. You're a Buchananite. I can spot some of you three threads away.

Actually ET, nobody considers you to be "reasonable" at all. :-) To align with your interpretation of 'reason' is not something I aspire to.
To: EternalVigilance
Wrong. I just don't go around trumpeting by 'successes' like you. Yeah, right. *wink* *wink*
As usual, you fall into the trap of thinking you know everything.
I know enough to know a losing candidate when I see one, which, of course.......well, do I have to say it?

This thread and other reactions clearly show that many people who are objecting to this deal do so on the basis that you can't trust Muslims -- UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. Some, yes. The ones that typically advance Mecca should be bombed into oblivion I dismiss outright.
Anyone who thinks our country or even a united West can cure this cancer without enlisting good-hearted Muslims to fight it is delusional.
Agreed, and largely a reason I support our efforts in Afghanistan, Iraq and eslewhere in the middle east. A chosen war against a billion people is suicidal.
Dubai IS trusted by the US Military. That's a basic fact. That emirate is a highly-respected one in political, military and business circles.
Which is a point in favor of this sale.
UAE is a friend. Jordan is a friend. Iran and Syria are not
And here we part. An ally, perhaps, but a "friend" I'd term too strong a classification. We are allies because even in their countries these terrorist elements have proven they cannot be controlled. In order to retain their authoritative governments, it is to their benefit to join us in exercising these terrorists from their populations. But were not their own governments at risks from the fanatics I have doubts of their willing cooperation. They did play a role in financing these elements. And similiar to the Dems encouraging the growth of Michael Moores and Cindy Sheehans, it's come back to bite them on the butt.
The last thing we need to do is humiliate our friends by killing a perfectly good deal between a British Firm and a Dubai one.
Provided it's a good deal, which I'm still not certain of, where the incentives outnumber the risks, killing it for political reasons would be wrong as you cite. Agreed to the extent politics shouldn't be the cause of ending the deal.
Thank you for this post.

In the interests of time, all I can tell is: Politics is more than a game to many. America has been under assault for so long that there are few real American thinkers left that won't succomb to compromise and bury their heads in the sand when the enemy is bearing down on us.
Goodnight and God bless you.

Though you did nail him, with your description; except that there is nothing "latent" about his IslamoNazi side.

That one takes the cake EV. When you have a success, I have no doubt you'll put up an entire thread about it.
