I've been around the Natalee threads since the beginning... even before even TexKat took up the thread updates. (man I miss her being on the threads.) If you had been around back then you might understand where some of the defensiveness comes from by many dedicated posters. This topic has had more than it's share of trolls...some using many different names, some posting nothing but slime the victim and her family comments.

I personally have not viewed you as a troll and hope that you will stick around. I'm sure you and I will agree on some things, then disagree about other things. But, I do believe we have the some goal and that is to find the truth about Natalee. That's what most of the posters here want and at times we are very emotional about it. Using our common sense and questioning what is reported keeps us going. Somewhere in all this the truth will fall out.

I'm not sure where the disagreements started for you here, but I hope it's all cleared up now.

Hey penowa,

This letter thing conjures up some fasinating aspects.

1. Natalee really sent a letter to PVDS to tell him, of all people, that she 'ran away'. (I find it truly amazing that anyone would believe this for one minute.) And if it was received by PVDS in September did he turn it over in September and we are just now hearing about it from Koen? Or, did PVDS conceal evidence from ALE from September until now? If so, he should be questioned as to why he waited so long to give this letter to ALE.

2. If there is a letter from Natalee and the letter does have Natalee's DNA, is that DNA from saliva or is the DNA on the letter itself? In either case, Natalee could be alive and was forced/tricked into handling the paper or envelope. If they truly find her DNA on a letter this could be good news. Personally, I believe if there is a letter it is a hoax.

3. If she is dead and there is a letter with her DNA on it someone had access to her DNA. Hmmm...and it came to PVDS? How strange would that be?

4. Aruban and/or Dutch labs will test for DNA...sorry, but any results coming from these people should be questionable. They have her DNA and could do anything they want to with it. They have way too much at stake here.

Or...maybe that 'letter' will end up in the same place as Arlene's video of Beth meeting with the prosecutor.

According to a friend of mine, who works on the Hill, Senator Santorum's staff has begun putting together a bill called "Natalee's Law" that would make it easier for the U.S. to intervene and extradite in foreign cases in which American citizens were the victims.

MY CONVERSATION WITH BETH HOLLOWAY-TWITTY
One-on-One with Beth Holloway-Twitty

When I spoke with Beth, she was on her way to the Alabama's governor's mansion for the candlelight vigil given by Alabama's first lady. Beth is a woman who is on the go 24-7. I never realized that a mother who is going through so much pain could still have the stamina and perserverence as Beth does. She's a very pissed off mother with a major mission. However, the stress has taken a huge toll on her. Since June, she's plummeted from a size 6 to a size 0.

Now she's battling her latest quandry: the defaming Vanity Fair article in which Gerold Dompig claimed that Beth's interference with the investigation is the reason why they haven't found Natalee. I could feel the anxiety in her voice, so I asked, "How are you feeling, Beth?" She said quietly, "Not good...it's rough. Very difficult." I asked her if she knew in advance that the Vanity Fair article was coming out. She explained that she knew about the article, but had no idea the piece would be so mean-spirited and evil to the fact that he would blame the family.

Looks to me that we are seeing the true colors of media...ratings and money. Nobody wants to hear the angle of an anguished mother...they want to read the dirt. Whether the statements made are correct or false...people seem to have that unconscious desire to hear about someone's loss or tragedy and will pay money to read the blasphamous garbage.

Beth has not been "banned" from Aruba, but on October 18, 2005, she received a phone call advising her not to return to the island because Aruban officials would place her under arrest. Arrest? For what? She explained that she has been threatened to be arrested because she called Joran, Satish and Deepak 'criminals' on national TV; in addition to coming forward with the fact that her original written statement to the police was changed and 'falsified'. Evidently, those Arubans are squirmish about which words you use. Mainly because they don't have the capability of understanding the difference.

"Is it falsified or altered? Is it edited or manipulated?"

Aruba doesn't have freedom of speech, and they can't stand the fact that Beth has used the media to state her position on the lack of professionalism and possibly conspiracy that Aruba is pulling over.

Coast Guard, Bahamas search for woman missing from cruise ship

NASSAU, Bahamas - U.S. and Bahamian coastal authorities searched by air and sea Sunday for a Canadian woman who may have fallen overboard from a cruise ship off the Bahamas, an official said.

Jill Begora, 59, was reported missing by her husband Saturday morning as the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Jewel of the Seas pulled into Nassau, the Bahamian capital, U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Dana Warr said.

The Aruba Tourism Authority has not yet published information on stay-over visitors and their nights spent on the island for July, August, September and October 2005. (Oh, I wonder why not?!!)

Data on the average occupancy rate of the hotels for October 2005 show a decrease of 4.9 percentage points to 77.8 percent, compared to the corresponding period a year earlier.

In October 2005, the number of cruise passenger arrivals and ship calls both fell sharply by 38.9 percent.

The consumer price index for October 2005 was 4.8 percent higher than the corresponding month a year earlier. The annual average inflation rate accelerated further to 3.3 percent in October 2005, up from 2.4 percent a year earlier. (More bad news for Aruba)

This rate is 0.1 percentage point lower than the annual average inflation rate of 3.4 percent for the United States.

It is in portrait format and needs to be in landscape format, so you have to turn your head sideways to read it.

The totals are given for each month, but not for July, Aug, Sept & Oct. Very suspicious.

should this letter somehow contain lab-proven DNA, i would be more concerned natalee was forced to pre-date and write the letter prior to her death (especially if they made a snuff film), but the paulus statement "no body. no crime" could apply to someone being sold into slavery, also, and he was merely telling his boy and his rape buddies that if there is no body anywhere, that she has been sold and taken elsewhere, there is no criminal charge that can be brought...and if she were sold there has to have been some premeditation and therefore they may have thought it clever to create a letter for the future...and finally, on the other hand, it would be better for them that we think her dead if she had been sold, but a letter implying she is fine and dandy only fogs things if there is a murder, death and rape, etc.
