Missing: Natalee Holloway participated in a trip with 125 seniors from Mountain Brook High School to Aruba in the Caribbean. In the early morning hours on May 30, 2005 Natalee was seen leaving a nightclub and getting into a vehicle. She failed to turn up Monday morning for her return flight home and she has not been seen since. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
Profile: Natalee Holloway was born on October 21, 1986 to Beth and Dave Holloway. She grew up in the close-knit community of Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. She was very popular and respected by her classmates and had a reputation among peers at being very intelligent and focused on her future. She lived up to her reputation, graduating as an honors student from the Mountain Brook High School.
Extracurricular Activities: During Natalle's high school years she participated several extracurricular activities including: The American Field Service - A club which interacts with the foreign exchange students. Dorians Dance Team Future Business Leaders of America Mu Alpha Theta - Math honor society Natural Helpers - A peer based emotional support group. So I've been lurking, and reading TBV's posts along with the bitter replies. Why? This is something she said that was totally ignored:

A terrible crime was committed by someone. They were able to cover their tracks very, very well. Unless some physical evidence or unimpeachable eyewitness comes forward, there is no way to convict anyone of the crime.
That's just the cold, hard fact. If some can't come to grips with it, then so be it.

So, the voice of reason got cut off? She was telling you all to beware of false witnesses, as we've seen over and over again. She was saying that she is concerned about Beth, and no one wants to believe that? Why? She was suggesting you all prepare yourselves to accept the harsh reality, and NOT ONE person had the class to agree with her!
That's all...sometimes it's impossible to just sit back and watch a fellow FReeper get beat up for no good reason...and this is one of those times.

Also, though I have no idea about Aruban law, first degree murder, if it is defined as a killing that is "willful, deliberate, and premeditated," might be stretched to include a "premeditated act" that, by its disregard for human life, "resulted" in the accidental death of a person. Like the use of a date-rape drug.
To me, that is a huge stretch but I can't imagine three (or more) people planning to rape/murder Nat unless they had some very strange reasons, such as an initiation or a snuff film or, God forbid, erotic necrophilia (which is closely linked to rape).
This whole premeditated thing throws me for a loop.

Whoa! Geraldo has talked about this, in passing, a rumor about making 'porn videos' by these guys. This was at least eight weeks ago.
What stunning developments today with these arrests.
I dropped off following the case for the last two weeks, not a lot seemed to be happening. It is good to back following the case again even though I mostly lurk.
I think he's implicated in some way, but I feel that the brothers (and maybe a few others we don't know about) did the evil deed.
My guess is that Joran broke easier than the two tough little rat brothers. Maybe a deal was cut for him to get off easier if he talked.
I think I heard there is no official plea bargaining in Aruba. But I'm sure this has been unofficially circumvented more than once in the history of Arubian jurisprudence.

I think, for me, it was the Get Over Yourselves tagline that trumped the concern expressed in the post. That, and the implication that we all ought to stop hoping and just get over it. Ouch. Packaging can either enhance or degrade your message, you know. Lots of posters warn each other about false witnesses. It's the passive aggressive ones who get under my bonnet.

You're right. It's interesting that premeditated is included in the suspicions. Hopefully Greta or Scarborough will have someone on tonight that will be able to explain what this means in Aruba's legal system. (Just please don't let it be Tito!)

Looks like they "baited" these two and probably used some extremely high tech surveliance equip to monitor their every whisper. Sounds like they whispered too much and gave them some hard evidence.

i wonder if the Aruban and/or Dutch authorities began leaning on Joran and Paulus VDS to fess up to something because tourism reservations for next year are down.....just postulating as usual.
judging by the 14 June date of the post, "that" pond must be the smaller one within the mangrove on the beach side of the main road......where they found some undies and a condom.....and where they took joran in handcuffs to point out exactly where something occurred (or at least where he was stating at the time)
