Question: Can we find that in Shango? Shango has all but validated the fact that Dirty Hand is Van Der Straaten. Not sure if VDS is that close to it, but could be.

Also, I read some very intersting posts over at SM last night regarding the HI casino owner/operator. He's well know...from Chicago...shady past. Beth mentioned on Greta last night that JVDS and Satish had lines of credit at that casino. She also wondered if the owner had "skipped town". Good question from her. I'm going to do some checking today on this guy. I've heard of him before. SM even drew a very slight parallel to this guy and Amy Bradley. That might be a stretch though.

Also, look at Shango and replace the word gods with media. See what you think.

The idea that the "gods" are the media is very plausible.

Also, everytime I reread the Shango posts I get the strangest feeling that he is a priest. Look at what he says:

In an earlier post, he said that he doesn't interact with the lions. If he is so distant from the illicit activities of the island, how does he know so much? Unless from being a confessor. And then there is this:

I wonder if that is a reference to the Holy Eucharist (i.e "time to go to Mass"). I am probably dead wrong but I keep getting this strange feeling about Shango.

You may not be wrong. You've given me different perspective on Shango.

Actually, I have viewed Shango as someone in Aruba who is involved with public relations for the government. Someone native to Aruba who has a boss that is in the know and either complicit or involved with this. Simian was a poster who originally was trying to untangle the Shango posts. At one point "Simian" was very critical of Natalee and her family. Shango referred to these posts from Simian as being from a Doppleganger (ghost or of the same name but not the original) I think Shango is saying that he isn't in the circle but is watching it from the outside because of his boss' role. I think he is refusing to communicate with Simian at this point. I think "worldly sources" means other outsiders who have no clue, but are just putting rumors out there.

Looks like we have two decent possibilities here. either could be correct.

Other than determining Shango's identity, I am still curious about the casino/gambling connection. The posts over at SM last night were very interesting. I do have a document that I created from the Shango posts where I have taken some liberties with the legend/key. I have replaced the original names in the post with what I think he means. I will freepmail it to you. Tell me what you think.

I agree...I never thought Van der Straaten was a power player. I think he is bought and paid for by someone in power. As to the Mansurs and Contreras clans...they are the island power and have been for a very long time.

From what I can tell, Mike Posner works for the big organized crime "Outfit" in Chicago (if it is the same Mike Posner...and I would say the chances are 99.9%).
