It's Natalee's friends' "story" that bothers me...not the introduction.

This posted at SM from one of the MB kids that posts occasionally there. I thought it might help things here, even though I haven't seen the arguements about the MB kids here as elsewhere.

9. She was not, by all accounts, being promiscuous with Joran, OR dancing or hanging out with just Joran. 10. Dash, Country Moon and I are all MB students. I'm sure anyone else that claims to be is, too. I just haven't talked to them yet. I do not know Country Moon's identity, so no point in asking, ya'll. I wouldn't reveal it anyway. 11. No one from AL has been arrested!!!! Read that again! If there's any other rumor you want to ask about, do it. I'll do my best to tell you if there's anything to it or not.

I know what's been said, I've been here since the get go. Cajun Girl had just gotten back from Destin.

My point is that there is probably an "undesirable" element at MBHS (There was one at MRHS in 1982 when I graduated) what do they have to say. Whose idea was it to go to CnC's that night? I'm not talking about Natalee herself but the group as a whole. Kids, as we all know, are susceptible to peer pressure. I am in no means besmirching Natalee's character. I'm just saying that I think there are some people in Mountain Brook who know what really was going on behind the scenes and aren't talking.

It may not involve Natalee at all. What was the fight about in Carlos and Charlie's that night? We all assume it was over Natalee. Maybe it was someone who felt they were buying bunk drugs from Satish, Deepak, Joran, or Steve Croes. Maybe the reason for the fight is key to this case. Maybe Joran and the boys took revenge out on Natalee. I'll admit I have my Tinfoil Derby on tight this morning so flame away. I'm just saying that I was young once as you were and remember how these coming of age trips went.

I've had this thought, too. The friends' interview - and really the dark-haired girl on the left - were pretty dismissive about Joran. They claimed they didn't even really speak, including NH, to him. Yet, somehow he knew they were going to C&C's and commented Sundays were dead on the island. The girls said they thought it was strange he showed up later, after that remark.

Has anyone suggested that the three boys had something worked out AFTER the casino but BEFORE C&C's? Seems plausible to me.

I am in the minority thinking the Kalpoe's are innocent. Sure they lied at first, but that doesn't mean they are guilty, IMHO.

You've got company. Me. If it turns out that they did participate in kidnapping/murder, I guess I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm still more inclined to think that although they know something, something that could greatly help the Twittys, they are not guilty of either K or M.

I'd say your remarks are possibly realistic, given the raging hormones and the excitement of the trip. And, gifted in every way, perhaps NH was accustomed to males of the species being a bit territorial with her.

Sadly, I suspect that may have had much to do with her demise. I imagine she's the kind of person who wouldn't take any bull from anyone.

What I do remember is stating that it's possible none of those three boys know of Natalee's ultimate fate. Wouldn't you agree that it can be a bad idea to get too wedded to one basic theory, to the exclusion of others?

For the most part, I have stridently disagreed with your thoughts and remarks on this forum. However, I do want to say several things here. I agree with the above remarks. I think Joran does have something to do with the K/M of Natalee, but I'm open to other scenerios. I also think it's more likely that his father was involved. But I could be wrong.

You've come under a lot of criticism on this forum and I've probably done my share; I honestly don't remember. But I think you've done an admirable job of responding in a very careful and reasoned way to fiery posts directed at you. And for that you have my respect.

I was thinking the Kalpoes were innocent, too. However, reading here today, I thought of this.

Joran called Deepak for a ride. This was probably AFTER he met Natalee at the casino; he MUST have talked about her during the ride (home to change? or straight to C&C's?)
Did the Kalpoes go to C&C's? Or did they just pick the couple up there?

What about this fight at C&C's? Was this why the friends left earlier? Were they peeved at her about something? Why would you leave a friend on a night when an early curfew made the best sense?

Way back on RWV, SM or thread 1,2,3,or 4 did not someone post that there had been a shoving match between Joran and some of the Mountain Brook boys? Please correct me if I'm wrong. The wife's working today, both of the older kids are out for the summer and I was late getting the baby to daycare so he missed "Sprinkler Day" so you guessed he's here tearing down the house, so I don't really have time to be doing this let alone going back through all the post.

I suspect they have figured out what has gone down. The Judge who is acting as both Judge and Jury, according to their law, has released them. He must know something we don't, unless we are to believe that EVERYONE in that system is totally corrupt. Which could be..yada, yada..yada.

But why people on this thread take personal offense to the notion the boys might be innocent is beyond my comprehension. I don't take offense when they tar and feather the boys beyond their reasonable doubt. Go figure..

I got the IMPRESSION it was on the phone.. Deepak talking on the phone to someone...

Other than THAT's where he heard the story about the boys dropping them at the Holiday Inn..

I don't remember them talking about what day or night it was.. It was in the context of the "fact" that the DJ is the one who went to the police with this information (the "story") that he overheard.
