An Open Letter to Mr. Jim Robinson
April/25/05 | jveritas

Posted on 04/25/2005 6:13:10 AM PDT by jveritas

What is happening to Free Republic Mr. Robinson? The Bush Haters and Republican Haters are getting louder and more daring by the hour. These phony conservatives who claim the Conservatism purity are savagely attacking President Bush and the GOP as bad as the worst liberals.

The Bash Bush feast is becoming a part of every thread. Everywhere you see Bush is a traitor, Bush wants to sell our sovereignty to Mexico, Bush is a liberal, Bush has no spine, Bush is destroying our economy, Bush is puppet in Vincent Fox hand, Bush is this Bush is that, everything wrong in this world is Bush fault.

Nothing but doom and gloom is coming from these phony conservatives. For them our economy is destroyed, liberals are controlling the government, the GOP will be finished by 2006, Mexico has invaded the US and changed its identity, China is superior to us, we are no more a superpower, and on and on and on. Every minor bump in the road is turned into a Mount Everest of catastrophe and disaster

Either Free Republic will remain the Premier political forum on the internet, a site to advance the real conservative cause and provide great and continuous support to our President Bush and the Republican Party, or it will be forum controlled by bitter and delusional phony conservatives who can never win on the ballot box, and come to FR to poison the atmosphere through their extreme kooky rhetoric and turn it into another Dummyland.

Enough is Enough.

Two places in the U.S. Constitution it is stated that the President or the Congress 'SHALL" protect the states from invasion.

Despite this, you refer to those who demand the President and the Congress adhere to the U.S. Constitution, as "The Bush Haters and Republican Haters.." and a number of times "These phony conservatives...".

What is a Conservative to your way of thinking? Is it Conservative to ignore the U.S. Constitution? Is it Conservative to watch regions of our nation turned into a foreign enclave? Is it conservative to steal tax dollars from U.S. Citizens to freely house, feed, educate and provide healthcare to others, even if they are foreign nationals?

Is it okay to allow illegal immigrants to traverse the border in order to avoid paying for their crimes? Is it okay for them to claim false identity after re-entering the nation? Is it okay for people from terrorist nations to traverse that border at will?

You'd have to buy into all of this to trash others for not doing so.

You've got a lot of nerve calling anyone a phony Conservative.

As I said before President Bush and the GOP will do something about the illegal immigration issue and the borders before the end of 2006.

How the hell do you know that?

Do you sit in on policy meetings at the White House?

Some of us are charged with protecting our families, you are not. Maybe 2006 will be too damn late!!! It is too late for so many people already who have been hurt, killed or damaged by this horde of illegals.

Did you EVER answer why you gave up on changing Lebanon and decided to come tell us how to run OUR country???

DoughtyOne, I read the posters comments. My understanding of the post was that he was criticizing people who call Bush a traitor, liberal, no spine, a puppet of Fox... that kind of stuff.

I don't think he was criticizing people who criticize the president's policy on illegal immigration without using hyperbole. Ya know, normal constructive criticism.

What don't we ask him what he meant.

Labanon, occupied by Syria, Hamas and every other terrorist oraganization. How could anybody leave that, right?

BTW, what country did your ancestors give up on when they came to this country?

You sniveler.

I lobbied every voter in my company to vote for Bush in 2000. I voted for him in 2004 and convinced others to do likewise. BUT... I am also not happy the man has not stopped the growth of government spending nor secured our borders.

I did more than you ever did, too, you sniveler. I quit a good job and ran for congress in 2002 to try and make a difference.

I am more a conservative than George W. Bush so don't tell me or anyone else we don't fit your definition of pure conservative.

You may be surprised to know he won't be President forever but his bigger government legacy will live on forever and I DON'T LIKE THAT! He even supported a growth in the Endowment for the Arts, for God's sake! That is the kind of wasteful government spending the Republicans swept into power in congress in 1994 pledged to eliminate!

Further, I don't agree with my mother on everything, either.

Does that make me not fit to be her son?

By the way, my wife of 34 years is really pissed off about many of my habits and attitudes, too, but apparently finds my handyman skills sufficient to keep me around.

Brown nosing and hysterical hyperbole. To sides of the same coin. What about constructive criticism?

The border, and illegal alien issues have cost a lot of approval points for Mr. Bush. That is my main complaint with the Federal government right now. Not just Republicans.

We have to keep ourselves a world power and we cannot remain strong having the enemy within. We have a right to know who is in our country and what their real identity is as well. It is unrealistic to say we will never have non citizens in this country. The planet has gotten smaller.

We need to know who they are and what their intentions, or business is while they are here. We can no longer just have people coming across the Rio Grande or Canada for that matter and turn a blind eye to it. If we continue we will have more and more 9/11's and possibly worse.

This country is the best which is why everyone wants to be here. We need to protect ourselves. President Bush needs to realize we need to move forward with a different mindset. Mr. Fox and who ever is up there in Canada (name escapes me) have to understand we have a right to our own country.

LOL, sorry bud but I've been here for quite a while. I pretty much know the plants by now. Yes people are pretty exasperated and yes they make some rather pointed comments about Bush, especially in concert with Vincinte Fox. What do Bush supporters expect?

We have a Constitution. That Constitution is being ignored.

I took some time to read your home page. What I noted was that you seem to think "some" globalism is going to take place, but we can manage it so our form of system wins out.

In some respects globalism will take place. That doesn't mean we have to disolve our borders, relinquish our sovereignty or sign on to programs that allow foreign nationals to help establish laws U.S. citizens will be subject to.

All too often, those that think globalism is inevitable, for get these issues when they encourage folks to accept "the inevitable". Not much is inevitable, unless we relinquish our duty.

Looks like they need his sage advice more than ever then doesn't?

BTW, what country did your ancestors give up on when they came to this country?

My ancestors haven't been here for a scant few years. We have been here since the mid 1700's. This makes your question moot. Further, mine came here legally unlike the vermin that is being defended on this thread and others.

Now, why don't you step back and let the person addressed answer direct questions to him?

Oh brudda. I campaigned for the President and am an ardent supporter of his even though I disagree with him on various domestic issues....like illegal immigration, the welfare state and the like. I enjoy FR because of the diverrrrrsity of opinion. Isn't it swell that conservatives can have so many differing opinions? ...unlike the left which is in lockstep most of the time.

I didn't read the entire thread. Is the poster on this thread defending illegals? I'll ask him:

It's all a question of budget priorities. They need to spend billions on the important stuff like this:

Before they can deal with trivial matters like this:
