From my memory.. He came home, heard the alarm.. thought she would be getting up.. he got dressed for work, still hearing the alarm he went into her room to wake her up when he discovered her gone...
Now for my theory... someone that the father/grandfather/
grandmother knows is responsible... does the father frequent bars/pubs etc... he is wearing a very telltale haircut.. but that alone does not tell all, but does place into question his associations..are there drugs on the scene.. the Central Florida forest are teaming with Meth labs and other insane "industries"... This is a case of a family that I believe is caring and absolutely adores this child, but the father and mother live a very "me" centered life... this life style often brings about strange and sometimes dangerous associations ... I pray daily that this child is safe. knowing that this may not be the case... no matter what, it is imperative that we all ask God to protect and guide this child, and if needed, welcome her into the Kingdom of Heaven... words cannot express my feelings for this child ....

I would look closely at the father's girl friend and her associates. From different comments he has made on the news, I got the impression that he kept his home/child totally separate/apart from his love life. IF the girl friend resented this and IF she wanted more than he would give because the daughter came first, depending on the character/integrity of this person (not to mention sanity), she might be moved to take the girl out of the picture. Just a theory.

I don't think the father lives a "me" centered life. I was a single parent for 20 years. I never, ever brought anyone I was seeing into my home to drag them before my children or let a relationship develop between them that might not be long-termed. Out of respect to his parents and his daughter I believe that is what the father does.

He loves and provides for his daughter. They obviously have a very close relationship. He is just decent enough not to bring any girlfriends in for "sleep overs." A pretty good standard in my opinion. After all, he is entitled to have normal persuits.

After seeing him so many times on TV, learning he had been cleared, and even took and passed a lie detector test, I have no doubt he is sincere and not a suspect.

I do feel, as I stated on other threads, that Jessica got up and went outside to meet someone she had pre-arranged to meet. As I said, maybe someone she really trusted, like from her church. It could have been that she mentioned wanting to give a gift or something to her dad or one of her grandparents. That person could have lured her out with the idea they had something to surprise them with. Thus she went to get it, left the door unlocked because she was intending to go back in.

The Dad and grandparents both have said she never went anywhere without telling them. But if someone she truly trusted said something like "Tomorrow morning I will bring a present (or something) over for you to give (Daddy?) as a surprise so meet me at 6 outside in your back yard..." or something like that - she just might have done that. what are you saying...he wears his hair a certain way therefore he leads a very bad lifestyle? Do only those with h is haircut do drugs and go to bars? Do you know him personally? Sounds like he is a single father trying to raise his daughter with the help of his loving parents. He happens to have a girlfriend. He slept over. Now there is some criminal activity for you! He is so into himself he was raising this child without the mom.
