[history]
The deer hunter accused of killing six hunters and wounding two others in the woods of northern Wisconsin is believed to have resided in the Toledo area as a youth and attended Jones Junior High School.
Chai Vang, 36, of St. Paul, is listed as a student at the South Toledo school during the 1982-1983 school year, according to Toledo Public School documents.
Willie Braggs, a social studies teacher at Jones, said he remembers Mr. Vang as a student. "He was in my class in 1982 and he seemed like a pretty good student," Mr. Braggs said. "It was a real shock [to hear of the shootings]."
A wave of Laotian refugees was brought to the Toledo area in 1979 and the early 1980s. They were resettled here with the help of church groups and other local sponsors. It was not clear yesterday when Mr. Vang's family came to Toledo or when they left.
By 1994, only about 35 Hmong families remained in the area, largely because many families moved to other cities where there were more jobs available and larger concentrations of others in their ethnic group.
About 24,000 Hmong live in St. Paul.

Correction.....the quote in your post #142 is not mine.
To: Godebert
I was giving you the original quote. Where did that come from?
I don't hunt fluffy bunny rabbits. The rest is open to speculation.

I have read stories of racial tensions between Hmongs and Caucasians in MN and WI Just as I am now reading political tensions between a liberal and many conservatives on this very thread.
Enjoy your stay.

There are a lot of jerks posting here who still have their good sides. IMHO, he was attacked on an iffy statement, tried to stand up for himself and then got pissed.
Earlier today I told the admin mods twice in posts that they weren't leaving us any live meat. Viking Kitties have to torment and bloody live food before we eat. I'm not soft on trolls. They should die for getting pissy with complete strangers.
This thread looks almost like there's a bit of wilding going on. VKs need real live meat and there hasn't been much this week.

Or they could have. He could have come back in the afternoon.
Or come back at night and set the cabin on fire.
You are simply assuming facts that are not in evidence.

Your statement can be neither true nor false, because no one knows. Chances are, this moron would have shot anyone, being as how he killed six.

S/he posted an opinion that the people who were murdered should have called the authorities first, and let them handle things.
Conventional Thead Wisdom is that the authorities would never have gotten there in time, so the best action would've been to train their gun on him and order him out at the point of that gun. Then they would have been safe.
So, the prevailing approach appears to involve questioning CD's outdoors hunting experience and qualifications, and threatening him with a zot by the VKs and a full banning.
That's what I get out of it anyway.
